Leafs Galore

Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying the bank holiday and I hope you are all having some lovely weather.  Here in West Midlands it has been a beautiful day, we even had lunch outside - ooooooooooo - heaven. 

Mind you  our baby Enya was not impressed, would you believe our briard, Enya, is frightened of flies, wasps, bees etc in fact anything that buzzes.  She did stayed outside with us but under the table and that was only because we were eating lunch and her stomach won out.  When she eventually went into the house with me she was quite relieved until I shut the door to keep her downstairs, clearly a fly must have wandered in and wandered out but I heard her banging the door with her paw to get upstairs to me.  As soon as I opened the door she was out and up the stairs like a scalded cat.  As I was going back upstairs there she was standing at the top poking her head around the wall with a bubble coming out saying ' I am not coming down, so there'.  She promptly fitted into my craft room and stayed there for the rest of the afternoon - now she is a big dog (37kgs) and my craftroom is, as you can imagine, crowded, but she managed to squeeze in bless her.  So my big, bold, briard is a big, weak wussy, but very lovable.

Now I have bored you to death, I had better tell you about my card for today.  I began with a C5 plain white pearlescent card,  followed by another piece of white pearlescent card which I have pricked around the edges in Sue Wilson style.  I then embossed a piece of navy card using an A4 leaf embossing folder.  Now my toppers, I started with a piece of 6x6 plain white card and using a leafy stencil from Imagination Crafts I stenciled it using their gold glitter paste.  Very easy to use, not too messy and dries quite quickly, although I did leave mine overnight.  I cut that down to a suitable size.

My swirls are spellbinders using cream glitter card.  My flower is Martha Stewart crafters clay which I made last week and left to dry.  I made quite a few in white and as it is just paper I have been playing with various mediums.  This one I painted some of the gold glitter paste onto it with a paint brush, topped it off with a blue flower gem and fixed it to my card using pinflair and left to dry.  This clay is so light and will add nothing to postage and it is beautiful to use.
