Little Flower Fairy

Good morning folks.  I have been lucky enough to be chosen to design for a new challenge this morning called Crafty Girls Creations.

For Challenge 1 our sponsor is: -

I got to work with a super digi image called Little Flower Fairy.  She was gorgeous to colour in.  I chose to use my copic marker pens, listed as follows: -

E000 | E00 | E01 | E43 | E44 | E49 | Y11 | Y15 | Y17 | BG10 | BG13 | BG15 | YG91 | YG97

I matted some coloured card onto my C5 blank card, followed by some patterned background which I printed out from a fairy digi kit in Craft Artist.  I also embossed this using am embossilicious A4 embossing folder.

I have fussy cut my image out using 'Brian' and also cut a black mat out at the same time.

The dies I have used are spellbinders for the background flourishes and flowers, tattered lace leaves and spellbinders basic shapes for my sentiment.  All finished off with Tonic Nuvo pearl drops in the black.

Make it Snappy Friends

Good morning folks.  Hope you are all well this Monday morning.  We have a new challenge starting over at Crafting from the Heart.  Theme is 'Always Anything Goes'.

Our sponsors for this challenge are: -

The image I have chose to use this week is one from Bugaboo Stamps called 'Make it Snappy Friends'.

One thing I love about digi stamps is that I can have them whatever size I want and also if I take them into my CraftArtist programme I can add backgrounds to them, which is what I have done on this one.   My background paper is also from CraftArtist too.
I then printed it out onto Copic X-Press Smooth card which is my card of choice.  This card is so smooth and perfect for marker pens.
I have coloured my image in using a mixture of chameleon pens and for the hair distress ink pens.  Please don't ask me why I used two different mediums this time, I just felt like it.
I fussy cut it out using Brian, my BSC, and then cut black mat out too.  Yes I know what you are probably thinking, why use Brian, it is a square, but Brian cuts better than me, far better.
My flowers are from spellbinders as were the leaves.

If you want to see more ideas from our design team and also enter your own super creation into the challenge follow the link HERE.

We also have a Facebook page where you can meet and chat to other crafters and show off your own creations too.  You can also join in with the 'just for fun' challenges held on a regular basis.  Follow the link HERE to our Facebook page.

Happy Birthday Michelle

Good evening followers and fellow crafters.

Well here in Birmingham it has been a 'not to bad' day.  Sunny, very windy and a little chilly but on the whole nice.  Mind you I am at that age when I can't take the heat anymore - got my own personal central heating system.  LOL

I have had a lovely afternoon crafting and chatting to my mate Sheila, in Scotland.  Yes we have been on Skype.  A wonder invention.

I have designed three Christmas cards in serif craft artist all ready for printing out, that would be mine, my mums and friends.  I will start making my special ones in September together with my Christmas cakes too.

Over half way through the year so us crafters do have to start thinking Christmas earlier than other folk don't we?

Well onto my card today.  This was made for a slimming world member in the meeting I go too on a Tuesday morning in Halesowen, West Midlands.  Her birthday was a couple of months ago now and she has been the weigher in this meeting since I joined 19 months ago.  She is very supportive of us all so when I was asked to make a card for her I jumped at the chance.  This image is just like Michelle, blonde and slim.

My image is a digi image from a set of 3 images from 'Glamour Eyes'.  I took the image into serif , cropped the one I wanted to use and as it was a JPG I removed the white within the dress by using the cutout studio function.  This enabled me to put a material paper behind the digi.  I then coloured the rest of her in.  My background paper was also from a digi kit.  My flowers and leaves are all cut from Sue Wilson's dies.  My frame was cut by Brian and then embossed using an 8x8 embossing folder from crafter's companion - embossilicious range.  I also fussy cut my image using Brian and placing a outline of 4mm around her.  I then cut a mat in black upping the outline by another 4mm.

I stamped the '40th' using a set of numbers stamps from Chloe Creative Cards which I filled in with dries clear glue and then covered with glitter.  Finally Michelle's name was die cut using an alphabet die from Tattered Lace Magazine.  I also made a box to go with it given the flowers were quite raised.

Well that's it for today folks.  Thanks for stopping by and take care.

Flip Flops

Good morning.  Another lovely morning, at least I hope it is where ever you are, because this post was scheduled at the weekend and although is was dull here in Birmingham it was dry.

A new challenge is starting at Crafty Girlz and the theme is 'Summer Holidays'.

Our Sponsor for this challenge is

For this challenge I chose a summery digi stamp called 'Flip Flops' from our sponsor of course Stitchy Bears Digi Outlet.

I have coloured her in using my chameleon pens and fussy cut her out using 'Brother Brian' my BSC.  I also cut a mat out using black card with 'Brother Brian'.  In fact all the cutting on this card was done using 'Brother Brian'.  The backing paper I printed out myself using a digi kit from Serif - Backyard Bumper Background.  I finished this card off with some faux pearls using Tonic Nuvo vanilla pearl drops.

I do hope you like my card and if you want to see more samples from our design team and enter your own project follow the link HERE to our blog.

Thanks for popping along and hope to see you again soon.  Take care.

SoccerPro

Good morning all.  Yuck, not liking Monday this week, mind you I have just come back from a lovely week off.  We went off in our camper van to a beautiful site at St Leonards in Dorset, not far from Ringwood.  We were definitely lucky with the weather and I have come back all relaxed and chilled out.
Of course now I am back at work - yuck. Hee hee.  Truly I do enjoy my job but would much prefer to be retired and enjoying it.

Today we start a new challenge at Get Creative Challenge.

Our theme for this challenge is 'Must Have Stars'

Our Sponsor for this challenge is

Prize will be 3 images of the winners choice.

I chose a super digi image called SoccerPro from our Sponsor 'Cute as a Button'.  Like a lot of crafter's I don't do many male cards, most probably because I love putting flowers on my cards and I never think a flower on a male card looks quite right.
This digi stamp is so useful for young and older men because you can personalise it to a particular football club that the recipient supports.

Not being at all interested in football I went for red and white, England football colours I am told!  I did however enjoy colouring the little chap in and making the card.  I just know he is a digi stamp I will use again and again.

I used my chameleon pens to colour him in.  I have also used some backing paper which I printed off from a serif craft artist digi kit called 'Junior Bumper'  I have also embossed the black card with an embossing folder of footballs.  My sentiment was printed out in serif and then cut out using a shape from 'Brian' my BSC.  The mat was also cut out from the same shape but I just increased the size by 5mm.

If you want to see more samples from our design team and enter the challenge for a chance to win 3 images of your choice follow the link HERE to the challenge.

THANK YOU for stopping by.  See you soon and do take care./

Nurse

Good morning folks.  I trust you are all well?

Today starts a new challenge at Crafting From The Heart.  As usual the theme is 'Anything Goes'

Our Sponsors for this challenge are

For my design team sample this challenge I have chosen to use a digi image from QKR Stampede called 'Nurse' digi stamp.  As it turns out this was an ideal choice as my next door neighbour Audrey has had to go into hospital for a major operation a couple of weeks ago and whilst we were on our hols last week she was released fit enough to come home.  It will be a long haul for her but she is on the mend and having to take it easy for a few weeks.  It was wonderful to know she was home and the op was a complete success.  Her and her hubby Dennis are lovely neighbours. Our fur baby Enya likes them too, mind you it may have something to do with the biscuits Dennis brings her every morning - LOL. My card has been made specifically for her as a get well card.

I have coloured Nurse in using chameleon pens and fussy cut her using 'Brother Brian'.

Some matting and layering plus I have pricked around the edges of the red card in true 'Sue Wilson' style.  I have also done some embossing using a 6x6 embossing folder from embossilicious.

The dies I have used are from Tonic, Sue Wilson and Tattered Lace.  I have printed the sentiment out using serif craft artist and then cut that out with a mat using 'Brother Brian' and a heart shape already on his memory.

Darla Dogwood Blooming Beauty

Good morning.  1st of July today and I hope it will be a good month weather wise for us all.

First day of a new month also sees the start of a new challenge at Creative Ladybirds Creations.
We run a monthly challenge and the theme is 'Anything Goes'.

Our Sponsors

For my sample this month I chose to use a digi stamp from Lacy Sunshine called Darla Dogwood Blooming Beauty and she was a beauty to colour in and use.

I have coloured Darla in with my copics and cut her out together with a lemon mat.  I have used my serif craft artist programme to print some patterned paper out.  The frame and lattice was all cut using 'Brian' my scan n cut.  The leaves are a tonic leaf die and the flowers were stamped onto vellum using a stamp from Chloe Creative Cards and embossed with cosmic shimmer pastel lemon embossing folder powder.  I have finished my sample off with some faux pearls in lemon and blue using tonic nuvo pearl drops.
