Just For You Pop Up

Good morning all.  We are starting a new challenge at Crafting from the Heart this morning.

As this challenge is 'Just for Fun' with no sponsor I decided to make a pop-up card having been reminded recently by the talented Julia Watts how lovely they are.

My card is an A5.  The pop-up was made using a die from Tonic and the side panels were also cut from a strip die from Tonic. The flower strips were die cut using plain white card and then coloured using Tim Holtz distress ink - picked raspberry.

For the front of the card I used a background which I had made using my pixie powders.  I then die cut a frame using Sue Wilsons Noble Double Pierced Rectangle Dies, coloured it again using picked raspberry distress ink and then double embossed it with clear embossing powder to get that glossy look.  The strip flower is also from Sue Wilson which I die cut twice so I could infill the flowers with glossy accents.

Coffee Break

Hi there folks.  Monday morning and we start a new challenge at Get Creative.

Challenge 70 will run until the end of the month and our theme is

Monochromatic

We have three sponsors this month too: -

I have used an image from Sheep Ski Designs called 'Coffee Break Image No 32'.

After printing out my image I coloured her in using cool greys from Graphmaster.

I die cut my image out using a spellbinders die and made a faux mat by drawing around the outside of the die and then cutting it out.

For the frame I have used Sue Wilsons Noble Double Pierced Squares and Noble Squared Squares which are absolutely delightful and so different.

The flowers have been made using Honey Doo Crafts stamps - Spring Time Blooms stamping onto vellum and them embossing with their White White embossing powder.  The leaves are from Sue Wilson Finishing Touches.

Flower Teapot

Good morning, a new challenge starts today at Crafting from the Heart.

Our challenge today is sponsored by

The digi image I have used from Bugaboo Stamps is called 'Flower Teapot'.

A useful digi for lots of occasions.

I have coloured the image in using copic sketch markers as follows: -

G94 | 99
G20 | 21 | 24
YO4 | 00 | 08
YR20 | 21 | 23

I have used Sue Wilsons double pierced square dies for matting and layering together with her double pierced round dies for the aperture and round frame.

The sentiment are stamps from Phill Martin's Blossom Stamp Set.  I finished off with some crystal drops - Copper Penny - from Tonic Nuvo.

Bug JJ Wine

Good morning all.  Hope you had a good bank holiday weekend despite the weather.  I always try to look at the rain as a good time for crafting.

I must say I went away with my Mom the weekend before the bank holiday for our yearly 'mommy/daughter' break to Alvaston Hotel in Nantwich, Cheshire and we had the best weekend and the best weather so we definitely chose the right few days.

Well, onto some crafting and we start a new challenge at Crafty Girls Creations this morning which will run during the month of June.

Our sponsor for this challenge is

I have chosen to use an image called 'Bug JJ Wine' which I thought was a brilliant image for girlfriends.

After printing the image out I coloured it in using copic sketch markers as follows: -

R89/85 | Y02/38 | G21/24

I then kept is really simple by diecutting my image using Sue Wilson Noble Rectangle dies.  I also use these dies to cut a frame out.  I finished off my card with some wine coloured pearls.
