Fantastic Florals

Good afternoon everyone.  Well I have had a good day, did okay at my slimming class followed by a nice coffee with friends and back home to a lunch cooked by my wonderful husband and then a couple of hours crafting.  Must make the most of it as I am back at work tomorrow.  I have to admit it has been nice having a couple of extra crafting hours this week.

I don't know about you but I am always stuck for layouts so when all else fails I go to Paper Playful and see what they have for layouts etc.  That is where my layout came from.

My Shopping List

Fantastic floral stamps from chocolate barouque
Cosmic shimmer persian sea aurora embossing power
Couture creations encaustic embossing folder
Blue card
White Card
Versamark ink pad
Spellbinders 5x7 matting basics
Martha stewart border punch

Actually it is a very simple card to make, it took me longer to decide which stamps to use that it did to make it.  Isn't that often the way!

Hope you like it and do take care.

Thanks for stopping by.

I have entered this card into the following challenge: -

Lifes Most Precious Moments

Hi folks, how are you all?  I have been in my element today, no work as I was using some holiday up so what did I do, yes you guessed it, crafting this afternoon.  Heaven.

My card today is using some of the embellishments I made using my melt pot.  Yes folks, I actually unpacked it, put it on and used it.  I just needed some time so on Friday I had a craft day, well I couldn't go anywhere, injections into my foot so I had to rest it.  Brilliant excuse of course to craft.

I have to say I really enjoyed playing, my mate Sheila was also using her melt pot for the first time so we played together on skype.

I had made loads of paper roses which I glazed to get used to it.  Then I added my first lot of colour and made some embellishments using my silicone moulds.  I have to admit, I am hooked now, and have already ordered some more clear utee in the biggest size I could find.  Hope it arrives by the weekend.  Have added some more moulds to my NEC list and ofcourse some more colours.

The idea for this layout came from issue 2 of the tattered lace magazine and I have used the free die that came with it.

My Shopping List

Tattered Lace Double Delights Die
Tattered Lace leaves set
Sentiment
Brown card
Cream card
Spellbinders 5x7 matting basics die
Spellbinders |2 curved matting basics
Melt pot, clear utee and tropical pearl utee
Flower silicone moulds

I do hope you like this and I am so pleased with the melt pot embellishments, they are not as heavy as I thought they would be.

Thanks for stopping by and you take care.

Wendy's Birthday

Hi there crafters and followers, HAPPY SATURDAY.

I have to admit it is quite nice weather here in Birmingham.  Sunny, a little chilly but DRY, well it is at  the moment.  A touch windy but hopefully no rain today, mind you I won't hold my breath!

I am excited to tell you about a super new challenge that will be starting in April.  You can find out all about it at Crafting At The Weekend.  Do pop over and have a look, don't forget to follow so you won't miss any of the super challenges that will be coming.

Now, to my post for today, it was my dear friend, Wendy's, birthday last week and a special card had to be made, besides, she loves my cards so it always has to be extra special.  Mind you she is a friend so she could be biased I suppose - hee hee.

I have used lots of dies, in fact all dies.  Spellbinders, tonic and some signature ones, just to show that you can use all makes of die and they will all compliment each other.  Plus an embossalicious embossing folder.

Hope you like this one, and now I will be off to do some crafting, I love Saturday's as it is one of the few afternoons I get to craft.

See you soon and take care.

Tattered Lace-Florentine Bells

Hi everyone, how are you all today?  Gosh I wish this rain would stop, although it has been a little sunny here in Birmingham this morning it's raining again now.

Well I have been playing today with my new tattered lace dies.  I bought their first magazine which arrived last week and it came with a free die, yes the one I have used on today's card.

It is a beautiful die and I have to admit the magazine is the best mag I have bought in a long time.  Admittedly it is devoted to tattered lace dies but then I expected that.  I only have a few of their dies but it was worth it for me so if you have lots it is a 'must have'.  It is packed full of information, hints, tips and samples.  No advertising which was lovely there was even a tutorial on making ribbon bows with one's fingers.  Something I will be looking at as I am useless at tying bows, even with a bow maker they look awful.  I am looking forward to the next magazine they release and I think they will be monthly.

My card today, as I said it using the Tattered lace Florentine bells and  the Spellinders d-lites corner sprigs. I have used some centura pearl, silver pearlescent and silver mirri, although I will admit the mirri doesn't look silver but gold so my apologies for my photography, david bailey I am not!

It is a really simple card, just some matting and layering, which has been done with the spellbinders 5x7 matting basics A & B sets plus the tattered lace dies and corner sprigs but those dies make it look more difficult that it was to the non crafter.

I never ceases to amaze me what can be done with a bit of card and how relaxing our craft can be.

Hope you like today's card.

See you all soon and do take care.
