Thank You

Hi fellow crafters and followers.  What kind of a day are you having?  A good one I hope which some crafting included.

Today's card will also appear on our Craftateers blog which you can access here to check out what my chums have come up with this week for our 'Two Colours' choice.

My card is a C5 pearlescent card, followed by another piece of pearlescent card which I have pricked around the edges in 'sue wilson' style.  I then embossed a piece of pink coordinations card using an 8x8 embossilicious folder and sanded it down a little.  The border was die cut using a die from crafters companion and stencilled using distress ink spun sugar.  I have cover the edge with a piece of white ribbon followed by a smaller piece of pink ribbon.  My flower is a spellbinders die which I have stencilled using distress ink spub sugar and topped it off with a piece of card candi.

My topper is a stencil from Dreamweaver.  I have used pearlescent paste from Sweet Poppy Stencils followed by some pink glitter from crafters companion and I then left it dry overnight.

Hope you like it.  Thank you for stopping by and take care.

Under The Sea

Hi everyone, hope you are all well today.

Today's post has been made for the craftateers website.  When Sheila first told me I think my reply was 'WHAT, who the dickens chose that?'  Then I was muttering about poor Chris to myself.  Then I had to do some serious thinking, finally I had decided to design something in Serif until Kathy reminded me that we had received some stamps from Dimension Stamps Project Club last year that included fishes etc.  So, I stopped muttering about poor Chris, bless her, and decided Kathy was a genius and 'fished' my stamps out - do you get it - fish, fished......!!!!!

'I began with a C5 centura pearl card followed by a piece of co'ordinations whitewash card which I ran through my embossilicious embossing folder and sanded down.  I then die cut a piece of white card using wonkie squares spellbinders, 'fished' my bark embossing folder out, inked up one side with distress inks stormy sky, placed my die cut, still in the die, onto the bark with cut side up.  I then ran it through my GC to get the inky sea effect inside the die.  That was followed by cutting a faux die using pale blue card.

I stamped  4 fish,2 seahorses and 4 starfish, cut them out, coloured them in using spectrum noirs and placed them on my card.  The fishes and seahorse have been decoupaged - one layer.   All finished off with my starfish and sentiment.

Wasn't so bad after all and thanks to Chris and Kathy I have used a stamp set which I hadn't used before and forgotten about.

Hope you like it.  Take care.

Becki

Hello fellow crafters and followers.  Hope you are all well.

My card today is an image from Saturated Canary called Becky.  She was a lovely image to colour and I used copics as my chosen medium.

I began with a C5 basic card followed by some matting and layering using a lovely piece of teal card.  I then embossed a piece of white card using an m-bossibilites folder which had been die cut using my basics set of 5x7 spellbinders dies. I then die cut a piece of mustard striped paper from my crafty stash and a piece of mustard plain card which I think is from Anna Marie Designs.  All topped off with a piece of black ribbon.

This card will also appear on our Craftateers Blog, why don't you pop along here and check out what Kathy, Sheila and Chris and posted - this week it was 'Anything Goes' so the sky will be the limit as we are all different in our crafting.

Thank you for stopping by.  Take care, see you soon.

Sylvia

Good evening crafters and fellow followers.  Hope you are all well.

My card today was made for a mates birthday.   I have used the daisy swirl from creative expressions which I have stamped using a pearlescent yellow ink and clear embossed.  The embossing is a crafters companion 8x8 embossilicious folder, inked using antique linen distress inks.  Butterfly is a die which came free with a magazine but I can't remember which one.

I always put an insert into my cards and I use Serif.  I also always put something on the lost leaf and serif is ideal for that.

Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you choose to leave.  Take care.

Blue Daisy Swirl

Good evening everyone. Phew what a weekend it has been, talk about rain, not been too bad today but Friday and Saturday was awful here in Birmingham.  Torrential rain, even a bit of thunder on Friday.  Clearly we need to send out a search party for the sun, it seems to have gone missing!

I have just had two lovely crafting days and my post today is one of the results.  I ordered some of those new cosmic shimmer lustre embossing powders that Julia Watts demonstrated on Thursday.  Ordered them on the same day, image my shock when they were delivered on Friday.  This is create and craft we are talking about, never one to deliver to my neck of the woods quickly, good job I was sitting down when hubby brought them in to me.

They are just as beautiful as the last set I ordered.  So, I began with a C5 pearlescent card, matted another piece of pearlescent card on having pricked it around the edges in Sue Wilson style.  I then matted a piece of blue co'ordinations card on.

My next mat is a piece of pearlescent card which I have stamped with a swirl in stormy sky distress ink, I then took another leave stamp which I stamped in victorian velvet  distress ink. I then ran it through an embossing folder to give it some texture.

I stamped my image, daisy swirl from creative expressions in cosmic shimmer lapis saphire lustre embossing powder, die cut using oval spelli and matted that onto some more co'ordinations which I ran through an embossing folder and sanded it.

Finally I die cut some swirls using a sizzix die in both blue co'ordinations and white pearlescent to shadow before placing my roses on which I made using the creative expressions flower die.  I also sprayed the roses with crafters pink sparkle spray.

Well, that's me for today.  Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you chose to make.  Do take care.  See you soon.

Simon - Cool Dude

Good evening fellow crafters and lovely followers.  Yippee, Thursday again and my weekend starts,  Is it just me or are these weeks going quickly!

Now I am not one for making men's cards, I do find them very difficult so when I saw this digi stamp called Simon from Mo's Digital Pencil I just had to have it.

I used my copic ciao pens to colour him in and he is a delight to colour.  I then diecut him out and stencilled around the edges using marmalade distress inks.

The backing paper was from my crafty stash and I think it was from a magazine, Making Cards.  I matted my backing paper onto some beautiful orange pearlescent card which I also used as a mat for my sweet Simon.  I embossed a strip of white card using a brick effect and made a sort of bookmark which I distressed again using marmalade distress inks.  I added a sentiment which has been stamped but I can't remember where that stamp came from.  I then finished it all off with some card candi.

Hope you like.  Thanks for stopping by.  Do take care and see you all soon I hope.

21st Birthday

Good evening folks, hope you are all well tonight.  Gosh I am glad it is Thursday and I am finished for the week, work wise it has been a tough week and I am looking forward to some relaxing crafting over the weekend.

My card today was made for a friend who was going to a 21st family birthday.  As the recipient loves shoes I thought this would be ideal.  Besides it gave me an excuse to by the stamps - hee hee as if I needed an excuse.

Yes the stamps are from Chloe Stamps, the flourishes are spellbinders and the age and name are Clarity Stamps.  I used wow embossing powders for the glitter.

Thank you for stopping by.  Take care.

Jamming Janice

Good evening fellow crafters and followers.  Hope you have all had a good sunday.

I really enjoyed making this card and colouring the image in was an absolute delight.  My card is an 8x8 white pearlescent card followed by another piece of the white card which I have pricked in sue wilson style.  I then too another piece of white card and using a set of stamps called 'Harp Music Project' from Dimension Stamps I stamped the music using blue versafine ink and clear embossing.  I also distressed around the edges with antique linen distress ink.

I embossed a couple of pieces of blue card using a music embossing folder.

My image is Jamming Janice from Mo's Digital Pencil.  She is so suitable for music lovers and teenagers alike.  I coloured her in using my copic pens.

I then die cut her out using a spellbinders die, distressed around the edges with antique linen distress inks and then cut a faux nestie in navy blue.  The little sentiment was actually from a box of little stamps that I purchased from crafters companion a couple of years ago.

I do hope you like today's post and thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may wish to leave, they are all very much appreciated.  Do take, until next time......
