  1. As always I began by printing out my digi image onto Copic Xepress it paper and left that to dry overnight.
  2. I then coloured my image in using spectrum noir pencils and blending solution.
  3. I fussy cut my image out - I used my brother scan n cut via the direct to scan facility.  If you have one of these machines and cut your image out you can also cut a mat out by increasing the margin and changing your card, I used a piece of pale blue, before deleting the image.
  4. I used a c5 white base card followed by another piece of white card slightly smaller as a mat which I then pricked around the edges.
  5. I cut another mat out of the co-ordinations whitewash card, embossed it, sanded it and placed my lace around it before fixing it to my card.
  6. I then placed my image and my flowers on.  The quote was from a free website and printed out.
  7. I finished my card off with some gold gems.

Floral Frame by Stitchy Stamps

Good morning folks.

How are you all today?  Hope you are enjoying your day whatever you are doing and it's not too cold for you.

My post today is a digi stamp from Stitchy Stamps called Floral Frame.

My Shopping List

Floral Fame digi stamp printed out in draft quality onto Copic X Pressit Smooth Blending Card
Plain white A5 base card
Purple card
Lacy oval and borders collection of stamps from Phil Martin

Tonic corner dies
Copic marker pens - V01 | V04 |V000 | YR68 | G99 | G94
Sentiment stamp

  1. I coloured my digi stamp in first as that would determine my colour scheme.  I used my copics listed above.
  2. I then matted a piece of purple card onto my base card after first using the middle to die cut my corners - definitely saves on card.
  3. I cut another mat of white card and stamped my frame from Phil Martins stamp set listed above and clear embossed it.
  4. I then scanned my image into Charlie (my brother scan n cut)  on direct to cut facility and placed a 0.04mm border.  (this does not breach copyright as Charlie is acting as my scissors)
  5. I then assembled the rest of my card - my image is attached with collall glue to give a little height.
My card was originally made as a DT sample for a challenge at My Craft Creations.  If that particular challenge has finished why not pop over to check out the latest challenge - there are always a good prize.

Enjoy the rest of your day.  Take care and see you soon.

Baxley's Sunflower-Crafting From The Heart Challenge

Good morning folks.  Today is the start of a new challenge over at Crafting from the Heart.

The theme is 'Anything Goes' and our sponsor is: -

 Oakpond Creations

the winner will receive

  three images of winners choice

My Shopping List

Distress markers - Wild Honey | Chipped Sapphire | Forest Moss
White C5 base card
blue card and lemon card
tonic dies
leaf embossing folder
blue gems

  1. I first printed out my digi image onto Copic Xpress It card in draft quality and left it for a day to ensure it is all dry.
  2. I then fussy cut my image out - actually I used my brother scan n cut using the direct cut facility and a 0.04mm outline.
  3. I then coloured it in using the above mentioned distress markers.  I haven't used these for a while and thought the watercolour look would be good for this image.  The middle of the flower is a big glob of dries clear glue covered with blue/black glitter.
  4. My layout idea was obtained from Sue Wilson, I always struggle with layouts and often look at her blog for ideas and inspiration.
  5. To achieve the layout I matted a piece of blue card onto my base card then cut two mats of lemon card.  I distressed them around the edges with scissors.  I also embossed the top layer with a leaves embossing folder.
  6. I cut my frame from the middle of the blue mat card using a tonic die.
  7. After assembling my card I finished off with some gems.
