SchoolDays

Hi crafters and followers.  You know when you have a plan in mind, start it and then wonder why you did it.  Well this image was one in question.  I had been watching Leanne at the CHA launching her new pencils and thought they looked good.  I was also putting them on my NEC list when I thought, 'I know I will use sketching pencils with my copics'.  This is the result, not quite sure about and it hasn't turned out as well as I would like but for a first attempt I suppose it isn't absolutely terrible hence I decided to go ahead and use it.  So this is a DT sample for My Craft Creations brand new challenge.

My Shopping List

Copics = C1 | C3 | C5
Sketching Pencils
Spellbings = 5x7 matting basics
                     A2 Locking Loops
                     Labels 33
embossing folder - wall
Digi stamp - schooldays from Stitchy Bear Stamps.
Distress inks - weathered wood
white 5x7 blank card
grey pearlescent card
black versafine ink
clear embossing powder.

Using my 5x7matting basics I die cut a piece of grey pearlescent card and a piece of white card.  I matted the grey pearlescent card onto my card blank and then put my white die cut card through my embossing folder, I then placed it back in the die and stencilled around the edges with weathered wood distress ink.

I coloured my digi stamp with the copics listed above, die cut it out with labels 33 and also made a faux nestie with some grey pearlescent card.

The sentiment was from my general stamps and was stamped using versafine black in and clear embossed then die cut using A2 locking loops.

Some ribbon and a couple of brads to finish it all off.

Thanks for visiting.  Take care and see you soon.

At the beach

Good morning crafters and followers.  Hope you are having a good day.  Tuesday is my day off and I am off to my slimming club and then out to lunch with my friend to celebrate her birthday.

New Jeans

Hi folks, how are you all today.  It's been beautiful here in Birmingham today, cold but lovely and sunny.  I finally plucked up courage and joining my slimming class, hopefully I have my head in the right place now.  Done my menu online and so I don't think about that biscuit barrel logged on to update my blog and check out facebook.

My post today is another digi stamp from Stitchy Bears Stamps and is called New Jeans.  Because I am aware that not everyone likes to colour, not everyone has the confidence to colour either, I know it took me ages and loads of pieces in the bin before I finally plucked up the courage to use one on a card let alone put one on here, I decided to leave this one uncoloured.  Digi stamps from Stitchy Bear Stamps are really good for this.

You will notice I have gone a little made with the old flowers but that's me, I love my flowers and flourishes and I make no apologies for that. All of these were die cut from d-lites by spellbinders and they are delightful.

The embossing folder is an embossilicious one I think and the spellbinders nestie is labels 25 I think.

Well thanks for checking out my blog.  You take care and see you soon I hope.

Anything Goes - SDD Challenge

Good morning peeps.  Here's hoping you are having a brilliant day.

Friday is always a good day for me as it is the start of my weekend.  Not sure what my plans are today but I am certain they will include some crafting.

Today my post is a dt sample for SDD Challenge - Anything Goes.

My Shopping List

Rock a Bye Jiggy digistamp
8x8 card blank
Pink Card
Pearlescent Card
Copic Markers = G02 | G05 | G07 | YG00 |YG03 | RV000 | RV21 | RV23 | RV29
Embossilicious 8x8 embossing folder - buttons
Heartfelt Creations Sweet Juliet Die
Spellbinders D-Lites - sprigs
Cosmic Shimmer Pearl Glue
Tim Holtz Shabby Shutters Distress Ink
White Card Candi
Pink Ribbon
3 green brads
green co'ordingations card

So, I started with a plain white 8x8 blank card, matted some pink card followed by a piece of white pearlescent card which I had run through my embossing machine using the embossalicious buttons folder and distressed around the edges with shabby shutters distress ink.

I coloured Rock a Bye Jiggy using copic marker pens as listed above, cut the image out and placed it onto my card, I have shaped it a little and used pinflair to secure.

I then cut two pieces of pink ribbon and secured each piece to the top left hand corner with hot glue - it definitely dries quicker.  I then twisted the ribbon and secured at the end with some more hot glue.  Once dried I trimmed and then put the card candi in place to hide the ends.

Using pink and pearlescent card I die cut 6 flower shapes using sweet Juliet die.  I also die cut some leaves from the same set and a d-lites sprigs in the green co-ordinations.  I have also used some green brads when making up the sweet Juliet flowers - an absolutely beautiful die and a must have for any flower die collection.

My flowers were secured with hot glue and the leaves were placed around with pinflair.

I then finished off my card by putting my cosmic shimmer pearl glue dots around the edges.

Thank You

Good evening crafters and followers.  Happy New Year to you all.

Well, virus is almost gone, voice is almost back (much to hubby's disgust), but mojo had gone.  You know when you want to craft and you just don't know what you want to do?  Well I felt like that this afternoon.

I watched Julia Watts on C&C at 2pm, chatted to chums on Skype and couldn't decide what to do.  I am ahead with my DT work and have my birthday cards done up to February.

I decided to go through my recently purchased stamps use those, yes I know, I am terrible for buying stamps and not using them straightaway.  Naughty I know but what can I say, I love stamps.

Shopping list

5x7 plain white card blank.
white card
Cosmic shimmer coral glow aurora embossing powder
Justrite floral thank you set of stamps
Inky Doodles Butterfly Script Clear stamp
small piece of brown card
versamark stamp pad
Dew drop brilliance - coffee bean stamp pad
Spellbinders 5x7 matting basics
Spellbinders oval die

Using the largest 5x7 matting basics I cut a piece of white card and pricked around the edges.  I then cut another piece of white card using a smaller 5x7 matting basics die.

I tore a strip of copy paper and placed it across the middle of my small piece of white card and secured it, I then stamped the butterfly script top and bottom using my versamark and embossed with the coral glow aurora embossing powder.  I also stamped my sentiment with coffee bean ink.  My sentiment is from justrite set of stamps.

I stamped and embossed the flower from the justrite stamps, die cut with the oval spellbinder and cut a faux die to matt onto the back.  I then constructed my card.

A really simple card but I have used embossing powder and stamps not used before and hopefully I have my mojo back ready for tomorrow's crafting - well it is going to be a really awful rainy day so crafting will be ideal!

Hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by and do take care.  See you soon.
