Good afternoon crafters and followers.
Today's post is a little stamp from Sugar Nellie and is very suitable for the weather we have been having don't you think?
It is also a very simple design. The backing paper is one printed from the SWALK cd rom by Crafters Companion, the first one I think. The image has been coloured in with spectrum noirs.
Because she is sitting down, I cut around her legs and then placed the spellbinders nestie behind her legs which meant when die cut her legs are dangling outside of the nestie.
I do hope you like her. Thank you for taking a look at my blog. Take care.
Welcome
Welcome to my blog where I post regular photographs of cards I have made. I hope you enjoy looking through my cards and I would like to thank you for taking the time to stop by and also for leaving any comments and following my blog. I shall also be posting a few of my knitting projects too.

Scatter The Seeds
Good evening peeps, hope you are all well today.
My post today was made as a birthday card for a friend who was 80 last week.
I started with a 6x6 plain white base card. Matted some pale pink card followed by some white card which I embossed using a texture place from sizzix. I then stamped the verse using pink embossing powder. The verse is from Inkylicious. That is also matted onto some pink card.
The flower topper is made using stamps from Dawn Bibby's range, stamped with black versafine and embossed then coloured with spectrum noirs, cut out, layered up and finished with a card candi. The leaves are a mixture from Dawn Bibby range and from the Glitter Girls. All the leaves again were stamped using green versafine and clear embossed then coloured using spectrum noirs and cut out. I then used a small circle of spare card as a base, put a large splodge of pinflair glue and simply arranged the leaves into the splodge finishing off with the flower and just left it to dry. Making it that way, independently of any card, I was able to make a few of different colours and put them away as toppers for another day. I then finished the card off with some gems.
Hope you like it. Thanks for looking and do take care.

Anyone for Cake
Good evening crafters and followers. Well Friday is here again, yippee. I have had a lovely day with my mom today. We went to the hairdressers and then we went out for lunch as an early birthday celebration - her birthday is on Tuesday next week and unfortunately I have a prior committment which I am unable to alter so we went today. Now I am settling down for some crafting.
My post today is a simple design but hopefully very effective. The stamp is a clear stamp from Cuddly Buddly. She was stamped with versafine and then clear embossed then watercoloured with whisper pens. The flowers and leaves are all marianne dies. Unfortunately I cannot remember where the backing paper came from, I know it was off a cd but I can't remember whether it was joanna sheen or rob adams.
Well hope you like this one. Thanks for stopping by and take care.

With Sympathy
Good day fellow crafters and followers.
You know I always think sympathy cards are so hard to do. My post today was made when my brother-in-law sadly lost his mom after an illness. Because my card was primarily to him I didn't think I could go with flowers.
This card is a 6x6 white card. I matted some black card then some more white card which I then stamped the flourish in versafine black ink and black embossing powder. I then took another piece of black card and die cut the shape out which fit over the embossing.
Thanks for stopping by and do take care.

Rehana
Good day fellow crafters and followers.
My post today is, as you can see, a personalised card. This card I made last year for a friend of my moms, and I happen to know she still has this card on display nearly 12 months later and it still looks as good as when I made it so I am really chuffed.
It is an 8x8 card and the backing paper was out of my crafty stash. The image is a stamp from Joanna Sheen and I watercoloured this one. It was so suitable because my mom, her friend Rita and Rehana quite often meet for coffee or wine and a very long chat.
Rehana's name was stamped using the plain alphabet from Dimension stamps and another little flower stamp I had. I then coloured the little flower with alcohol pens and glazed the whole name.
Hope you like this as much as Rehana does. Thanks for looking and do take care.

April Showers
Good evening crafters and followers. Hope you are well today. Another awful day here in the West Midlands, still I have had a lovely lunch with friends so it has not been too bad. We took a friend who was 80 years old last week to lunch at the local garden centre. We all had a lovely lunch and really good chinwag.
Today's post is another stamp from the Adorables range by Jayne Nesterenko. This one was called April Showers and it seemed appropriate for today, although it's not April it is raining.
I stamped Miss April with versafine ink and clear embossed. The pussy cat is a separate stamp as are the showers, you can really build a story with Jayne's stamps. I then watercoloured her in with whisper pens. The backing paper if also from the adorables range but from the CD produced by Crafters Companion and I have to admit the papers are definitely 'adorable'. The border is a martha stewart punch and the sentiment was also part of the adorables range of stamps. Definitely worth a look girls.
Well I hope you enjoy the rest of your day and thank you for stopping by and taking a peek at my blog. Take care.

Julie
Good morning fellow crafters and followers. Monday morning again, doesn't it come around quickly. Mind you I do think this year is flying by, October is almost on us and then it will be Christmas, phew.
My post today is Julie from Jayne Nesterenko's Patchwork Polly range. A beautiful stamp range and one I use again and again.
I started with a cream 6x6 card, matted some green card on to that. I then stamped, in walnut distress ink, 4 patchwork squares, which are part and parcel of this stamp set. I die cut three oval shaps in cream, green and orange and layered those up. I then stamped my image with versafine ink and clear embossed it. I have watercoloured this image so it is stamped on watercolour card. I then cut her out, shaped her and placed her onto the oval diecut. Her little dog and satchel are also part of Julie's stamp set. The flower in the corner is a diecut from marianne dies.
Hope you enjoy this post and thank you for stopping my. Take care.

Helene
Good afternoon crafters and followers. What a yucky sunday it is turning out to be. Started off dry but the rain they promised has definitely arrived in the West Mids anyway. Hope it is drier whereever you are.
Well, today's post is a patchwork polly stamp from the lovely Jayne Nesterenko. This lady is called Helene and she comes with other bits and bobs stamps, mainly for gardening. She is a beautiful stamp.
I stamped her in my usualy verasfine and then clear embossed and hopefully you can see all the detail in the stamp. I have coloured her in with spectrum noirs and then cut her out. The striped backing paper was out of the crafty stash and the embossing that Helene is sitting on is from a texture embossing plate from sizzix. The other pattered paper with the buttons on is stamped and embossed. To finish off the flowers and leaves are from marianne dies with the leaves being put together with brads.
Hope you like little Helene. Thank you for stopping by and do take care.

Ruby Wedding
Good afternoon crafters and followers. Hope you are enjoying your Saturday.
Well, I have done the shopping, walked the dog, had me lunch and now it is me time and crafting.
Today's post is a card I made for some friends ruby wedding anniversary.
I started with a plain white C5 card, matted another piece of plain white card on but I cornered the edges and also pin pricked around the outside. I then embossed another piece of plain white card using an m-bossibilities folder. I die cut two doily shapes from a spellbinders die in red and white. Stamped the 40 using dimension stamps patterned alphabet, cut those out and attached them to the layered doilies. The flourish is a marianne die as is the label.
Simple but hopefully elegant. That's all for today folks. Thanks for stopping by and do take care.

Snowie
Hi guys, how are you all? Well hopefully, if my scheduling is correct today should be Friday and I should be on my way to the opticians for the dreaded eye test. Why dreaded, well I just know it will mean new glasses and I hate choosing glasses which is why I always take my mom with me, she chooses, then if they don't look right I can blame her - hee hee.
My post today is the last of my samples for the Craft Creatoins - Bling it Up Challenge.
As you will see it is a square 6x6 card. I started with some navy blue card stock. Die cut a scalloped circle from spellbinders out of some backing paper from an old making cards mag. Cut that so the corner fitted perfectly with my navy blue card stock in the top left hand corner. I have also wound some blue/silver cord around the left hand side and the bottom. Because this cord is rounded and thickish I have attached the navy card to the base card with pinflair.
My image is a stamp from the Christmas Design Set 2 released by Creative Expressions. Little Snowie here is stamped in black versafine, clear embossed, coloured with copics and then cut out, shaped and placed on my pale blue nestie shape with pinflair glue.
The snowflakes are marianne dies and as you can see die cut from silver holographic mirri card. The swirl is from a sizzix framelit.
Hope you like this card. Your comments are always welcome and thank you for stopping by. Take care now. See you tomorrow.

Pressies Galore
Hi all, hope you are all well.
My post today was made as a sample for my friend Sheila's Bling It Up challenge. Why not pop over and check it out you.
I started with my usual white base card - C5. I matted some gold mirri card and them some backing paper which was a freebie from the making cards magazine last year.
My image is gorgeous little girl from Wild Rose Studio's and is a clear stamp which I purchased from Joanna Sheen's website. I stamped her in black versafine and clear embossed her. I then coloured her in with copics. The presssies are coloured in with sakura pens. I added glitter to the fur on her hat and coat, also glittered some snow drops.
I then diecut her out and matted her onto some gold card, a faux nestie.
The snow flake ribbon at the back is a martha stewart punch. The poinsettia flower is spellbinders and I have used distress inks to stencil it, finishing off with a gold mirri card candi. The leaves are the new dies from marianne. I have also put some red glitter on the berries of the leaves.
I do hope you like this one. Thanks as always for taking the time to stop by and do take care.

Asian Princess
Good day crafters and followers. Hope your day going okay?
Well today's post is card I made for my mate's new challenge - My Craft Creatoins - Bling it Up.
I started with a C5 white base card followed by some blue co-ordinations card. I then embossed another piece of white card using an m-bossibilites folder. I do love those folders and as you get two lots of embossing they are good value for money.
My topper is a stamp from Jayne Nesterenko and it is her asian lady. Such a beautiful clear stamp. I have stamped with versafine black and them clear embossed her. She is coloured in with a mixture of copics and spectrum noirs, die cut out and them matted onto another diecut in the same co-ordinations card. The flowers and flourishes are all marianne dies and the flowers were die cut out of plain white card, stencilled with distress ink and then glittered. A large gem is the finishing touch.
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to check out my blog. Do take care.

Let It Snow
Good day to you. Hope you are all well and I always keep my fingers crossed when I schedule a post. Yes you guessed it I am working today.
Today's post is my second sample for Sheila's challenge at My Craft Creatoins - Bling it up.
This time I chose a base white 6x6 card followed by some navy card and white card which I embossed, although you may not be able to see that clearly - sorry.
My image is another stamp from Flower Soft and is called 'Let It Snow'. Another favourite of mine. I actually this stamp and yesterdays from the NEC 2 years ago but they are stamps that I will use time and time again. This little lad is stamped with versafine and clear embossed. He is then coloured with copies and cut out. I then die cut three navy pieces of card using a spellbinder die in a backing paper that was again a freebie from a old making cards christmas magazine. I shaped my image and placed him on the topper with pinflair glue and then glittered the snow using a quickie glue pen.
Hope you like him as much as I enjoyed colouring him in. Do take care and thanks for stopping by.

Little Friend
Hello fellow crafters and followers.
My post today is a card made as a sample for Card Creatoins Bling it Up Challenge.
I started with a C5 base white card. I matted some navy blue card followed by some
backing paper which was a freebie from last years making cards mag, followed by some pale blue card. I also die cut an aperture from the pale blue card.
My image is a stamp from Flower Soft which I must admit is a gorgeous stamp and I fish it out every year. It is actually called 'Little Friend'. I stamped her in versafine black ink and then clear embossed her. I coloured her in with copics and used my quickie glue pen to put some glitter on her hat and the snow. I then cut her out, shaped her and placed her on the card with pinflair glue.
The snowflake is a spellbinder die and the leaves are from marianne.

Friendship
Good day to you all on this beautiful Sunday. Well the weather isn't too good but it is still a beautiful day.
My card today is simple but the verse I think is so poignant I just had to post it.
The backing paper is from my crafty stash and I have also matted some white card which has been embossed from an embossing texture plate from sizzix. The flowers and leaves are marianne and I have added some gems to finish it all off. The stamped verse is from Dimension Stamps and has been stamped in versamark and then embossed with silver embossing powder. Die cut and inked around the edges with antique linen distress inks.
Thank you for stopping by today and do take care.

Sorry You're Leaving
Good afternoon everyone. Hope you are all enjoying your Saturday. I must admit the weather here in the West Mids is not too bad, sunny at the moment too.
Today's post was made for a colleague who was leaving for pastures new. The card was an 8x8 so we could all put our best wishes inside.
I started with the usual base white card followed by some beautiful brown pearlescent card and then matted on that was the backing paper which was from my crafty stash. The image is a swalk stamp as you will have guessed coloured in with spectrum noirs. Die cut out using a spellbinder and matted onto some more brown card. I have distress inked around the edges too. The name is stamped using plain alphabet stamps from Dimension Stamps. I have stamped and embossed them onto the backing paper and them cut them out. They have been placed onto a piece of embossed white card. The embossing folder I used for that is a bark one. As you will see I have also distress inked around the edges of that.
Well that's it for today folks. Thank you for stopping by and take care.

Wedding Bells
Good afternoon crafters and followers. Yippee, its Friday, no work which is great.
My card for today is a humphrey card as you can see. I started with a white base card - 6x6. I then embossed some plain white card but inked the embossing folder first before running it through my GC. I used spun sugar distress inks. I then die cut the image which has been coloured using spectrum noirs. In fact, as this card was made sometime ago, if I remember rightly it was one of my first using alcohol inks. The flower is a mixture of spellbinders and marianne dies and the leaves are definitely spellbinders. Finishing it off with some gems in the middle of the flower.
I have entered this card into the following challenge: -

Gracie
Good evening crafters and followers. Hope you are well. Well it's Thursday again and I have finished work and looking forward to a weekend of crafting Today's card was made to order. As you will have guessed the recipient was a young lady called Gracie who was going to be 20 years old. Her grandmother wanted me to include this particular car as Gracie had just had her first car. I started with an 8x8 scalloped base card followed by blue card and then another piece of white card die cut with a square scalloped spellbinders grande die. I then wound some blue satin ribbon around the white die cut. The image was printed onto glossy photo paper, die cut and the matted onto a piece of diecut blue card. The flowers are marianne dies and the leaves are from spellbinders. The name is stamped onto some white card candy, as is the young ladies age. You can't see it but there is also a picture of her car from a different angle on the looseleaf insert and a verse from her grandmother. Hopefully she liked the card and I hope you do too. It was a bit of a challenge using a card but keeping it feminine too.
Thank you for taking the time to view my blog. You take care.

So Sweet
I am working at the moment, so this post is scheduled. Roll on Friday when I can craft again.
My card today is a C5 as you can see. I have started with some brown pearlescent card and then matted some backing paper from my crafty stash. Those of you who regularly check me out will recognise the backing paper.
My image is a stamp from lili of the valley. I stamped her in black versafine and then embossed her and watercoloured her in with whisper pens. I have then die cut her out.
The large diecut is from coordinations card and sanded down to bring out the embossing. The flowers are all marianne dies.
Hope you like her. Thank for taking the time to stop by. Take care.

Birthday Boy
Hi fellow crafters and followers. Firstly let me start by apologising to those of you who check my blog out regularly. I haven't posted since last Wednesday which is unusual for me but I have had MAJOR internet problems especially with my craft computer. Anyway, I am back now - hopefully, fingers crossed.
Today's card is one I made for an order a few months back. The image is, I think, a stamp from lili of the valley and was coloured in with spectrum noirs. The backing paper, which was from my crafty stash is matted onto some green card. I have then diecut my image and also used some co-ordinations card which I have sanded off. Finishing it all off with some card candy.
Hope you like it. See you soon and thank you for stopping by.

Chloe's Poinsettia
Good day to you all. Well back work again today so no crafting until Friday.
My card today is my 2nd christmas card. 2nd of many, I had better warn you. I had also better warn you that I love poinsettias and I have quite alot of stamps of poinsettias and they all get used every christmas. I know, boring or what!
Today's poinsettia is from Stamps by Chloe. The card is a 6x6 plain white base followed by christmas red card and a backing paper that was actually from a making cards magazine last christmas I think. The green backing paper was also from the same magazine.
The image is decoupaged up using one stamp. I have stamped the image 3 times in black and then clear embossed it. I have then coloured it in with sakura glitter pens. I do think those pens come into their own at christmas especially for things like flowers. The bow is also stamped and coloured in with sakura. This is certainly a useful little stamp.
This card is a DT card produced as a sample for my friend Sheila's blog challenge.
Hope you like it. Thank you for stopping by. You take care.

Today's poinsettia is from Stamps by Chloe. The card is a 6x6 plain white base followed by christmas red card and a backing paper that was actually from a making cards magazine last christmas I think. The green backing paper was also from the same magazine.
This card is a DT card produced as a sample for my friend Sheila's blog challenge.
Hope you like it. Thank you for stopping by. You take care.

Urchin with a Bird
Good afternoon all you crafters and ofcourse those of you who have chosen to follow my blog.
Looks like all of my scheduling worked for the last week so I am a happy camper.
I have just had a wonderfully relaxing weekend with my mum at a Warner Leisure Holiday in Cricket St Thomas. A definite mum/daughter weekend which was really good. Had okay weather too. The grounds at that place are stunning and the house, which was used in the sitcom 'To the Manor Born' was lovely. I loved that sitcom and still watch the re-runs now so it was brill to actually see the house and that staircase where Penelope Keith stood in the last episode. I know, I am probably boring you all now.
Well, onto my first christmas card. I have started with an 8x8 card with green card matted onto that. The image is a digi stamp from mo manning which I coloured with my copics. The background paper was from my crafty stash although I have a feeling it was originally printed from one of Jo Sheen's cd roms. The poinsettias and leaves are a mixture of marianne dies and spellbinders.
This card is also a DT card for Floral Challenge at my friend Sheila's blog.
Well I do hope you like my first christmas card and thank you for stopping by. Take care.

Mona
Hi fellow crafters and followers. Today should be Monday and my final scheduling. I will be returning home today from a relaxing weekend with my mum. Off work tomorrow so I shall be crafting and will then be posting some christmas cards which I had been beavering away at during the bank holiday weekend.
So my card today, this was a special order. Mona was celebrating a special birthday and she is living in a retirement home and has limited mobility, she does however love her knitting.
I started with a C5 plain white base followed by some brown pearlised card. The backing paper is from a Swalk CD Rom by Crafters Companion - the first CD I think. Using the same pearlised brown card I then stamped Mona's name with the patterned alphabet from Dimension Stamps. As you can see this was stamped and embossed in gold and then cut out. I die cut a nestie in the same brown card ready for the topper which is double knit peach wool knitted on two kebab sticks - plain stocking stitch. Once I had finished the knitting I cut the kebabs sticks shorter and put some gems on the end to finish it off and to look like the end of knitting needles. I then attached all of that to the brown nestie with pinflair glue. The brown card candi finished everything off.
I was quite proud of this card, even if I do say so myself. Mona loved it and so the customer who gave me feedback from Mona.
I hope you like it too. Thank you for stopping by. Take care.

Jean
Hi crafters and followers. If my scheduling is working okay then today should be Sunday and I do hope you are all having a relaxing day.
Another special order for a lady called Jean who had just retired and was going to be working in her greenhouse growing flowers. Her favourite colour was also purple.
The backing paper on this one is again from a Jo Sheen CD. The image is a digi stamp which was printed out onto watercolour card and the watercoloured using whisper pens. Jean's name is stamped and embossed onto plain purple card using another patterned alphabeth set from Dimension Stamps. I happen to know Jean was thrilled with this card as the order was from a friend so I had some feedback.
I hope you like this as much as she did. You take care and thanks for stopping by.

Fashion Follower
Good day crafters and followers. Today should be Saturday, hopefully. If not I am sorry but my scheduling has gone horribly wrong.
My card for today is one I made earlier in the year. I think I have mentioned before that I am part of a RAK Club which basically means 'Random Act of Kindness' and we send cards to each other once a month. This was my card for April 2012.
The stamps were a Dimension Project Club set for that month and the theme was, yes you have guessed it, the 60's. The backing paper was from my crafty stash and the images are stamped and embossed and then coloured with spectrum noir pens. I have to admit I did enjoy colouring these in. I do hope the crafter that received this card also enjoyed it.
Well, thanks for stopping by and please take care of yourself. Bye for now.
