Weaving Christmas Wishes

Good morning.

Well I have finally finished for Christmas, don't go back to work until the 8th January 2018.  WOO HOO.  I am going to practise being retired LOL.

Well we have a last challenge for Crafty Girlz Challenge.

Our challenge is Anything Goes / Christmas and it is just for fun to show off your creations.

I have done a Christmas card and at the moment I am in a 'weaving' phase.  I love those weaving dies from Creative Expressions and just can't leave them alone - hee hee.

So this weave is red, gold and cream,  I have also used Creative Expression round noble double pierced dies and the leaves are also theirs too.

My poinsettia is a stamp from Chloes Creative Cards range stamped and embossed using Cosmic Shimmer gold detail embossing powder.

Why not follow the link HERE to the challenge and enter your own project.

Thank you for visiting today.

Hope to see you soon.

Merry Christmas to you all.

Lilly The Dancing Princess

Good morning all.  Gosh what a weekend.  Here in Birmingham we had snow all day yesterday, just didn't let up.  Looks really nice if you can bunker down but otherwise very inconvenient.

My last week at work before finishing for Christmas.  I was supposed to go out with a friend on Tuesday and Manchester on Wednesday, not sure about either of those to be honest given the foot of snow we had.  Now the temperatures are dropping.  Oh well on the good side I have spent two LOVELY afternoons in my craft room playing.  Absolute heaven!

We start a new challenge at Crafting from the Heart this morning.

Challenge 187 is the usual 'Anything Goes',

Our sponsor for this challenge is

I have used a digi stamp called 'Lilly the Dancing Princess'.

I printed her out onto watercolour card and then water coloured her in using my Tim Holtz distress marker pens.

I then embossed some turquoise card using a pin flower detail embossing folder from Creative Expressions.  I have stamped two pieces of card using Phill Martins Colour Cloud Decadent
Teal and some flower stamps from Dreamees.

I have also used stamps from Dreamees to make my flower - Sweet & Swirly A5 Stamp Set, stamping and embossing using Phill Martins Decadent Teal embossing powder.  The leaves are from Creative Expressions. I then finished off with some pearl drops also in Decadent Teal.

To enter your project into the challenge and to see what creations the rest of our design team have done follow the link HERE  to our blog.

Also we have a facebook page too HERE

Thank you for visiting today.  Stay safe and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Miss JJ Coffee

Good morning.  Well I have had a lovely week away in Devon at a self catering cottage just outside Holsworthy.   I just love this time of year and it is always so quiet in Bude with lovely little shops all dressed up for Christmas.  Also paid our annual visit to Dartington Crystal and bought some Christmassy bits.

Countdown to our Christmas has now officially started.  Yes our tree will be going up and I am not apologising as I LOVE CHRISTMAS and all is preparations leading up to it.

However, onto important bits - a new challenge starts at Crafting from the Heart today.  It is not a Christmas card but it is one close to my heart as I am terrible in the morning until I have had my first cup of coffee - hee hee.

digi stamp I have used is 'Miss JJ Coffee'

This image was already coloured so I decided to use it in my serif craft artist programme. However when purchasing this from Bugaboo you do get the coloured version and the digi stamp version.

Just follow the link HERE to the challenge where you can enter your own project and see what our design team have showcased.

Good luck in the challenge and I do hope you will visit again soon.

Joy to the World

Good morning all.  We have a lovely new challenge beginning today at Crafty Girlz.

Our theme for this month is: -

Anything Goes / Optional - Make it Christmas

For my post today I have used the Festive Berries stamp set by the lovely Phill Martin.  This frame is absolutely gorgeous. I have stamped it with white detail embossing powder onto Kraft card.  Nothing something I have used very much, the Kraft card but I am a convert now.

The sentiment was also from Phill Martin's Festive Berries.  My poinsettia flowers are stamped onto vellum using a stamp set from spellbinders which matches their poinsettia dies.  My leaves are dies from Creative Expressions - Berry Bough to which I have added some berries cosmic shimmer pearl drops.

To enter your own project into our challenge follow the link HERE.

Thanks for visiting today.  Good luck in the challenge.

Gracie Fairy

Good morning.  Hope you all had a good weekend?

Gosh was I glad when last week was over workwise.  My internet connection finally went, have been having problems since May but because it is a company one which I have to report  via our IT department.  Well the last three weeks have got steadily worse,  it has kept dropping out for long periods.  Wednesday afternoon it gave up the ghost so IT had to report it to BT.  Thursday I had to work with no internet.  Don't we rely on this internet alot.  I could get access to my company email but all my work is retained on their server so I was really limited.  An easy day but frustrating.  Today I have my new hub box so hopefully this week will be better - fingers crossed.

Well enough of my work woes, we start a lovely new challenge at Crafting from the Heart today which is sponsored by: -

I have used a lovely little digi called Gracie Fairy.  After printing her out onto watercolour card I used my Tim Holtz marker pens to watercolour her in.  I then fussy cut her out.

Given I am addicted to weaving, I die cut two weaves from Creative Expressions weaving dies and began my weaving - very relaxing I have to say.

All of the dies are from Creative Expressions.  My flowers have been stamped using Layered Blooms from Honey Doo Crafts and WOW Totally Teal embossing powder.  Lots of fussy cutting my blooms out which I find very relaxing.

Thanks for visiting today.

Poinsettia Cluster

Good morning. If anyone went to the NEC Birmingham to the craft show hope you had a good time.  My crafting chum Wendy and I decided not to do this one this year as we are saving for Ally Pally in April 2018.  We had such a good time last year, a brilliant weekend.

A new challenge begins at Get Creative today.

Challenge 64  theme is  Holidays

I have used a digi stamp from Ikes Art called Poinsettia Cluster which I have water-coloured using Tim Holtz distress marker pens Forest Moss and Candied Apple.

The sentiment I used is from Phill Martin's Festive Berries Elegant Sentiments stamp set which I have embossed using cosmic shimmer detail gold embossing powder.

I have kept my design simple because I wanted the image to stand out and to be honest I didn't think it needed anything else, hope you agree.  I have inked around the edge using distress ink - candied apple.

If you want to enter your own project into the challenge just follow the link HERE. You can also check out what the rest of the design team have been up to using images from all our sponsors.

Good luck in the challenge and thank you for visiting my blog today.

Always hard for me as I love adding 90 million flowers to my cards but I have kept this simple.

above is the inside of the card and below is the rear of the card.

Best Wishes

Good morning all. Hope you are having a good day?

We start a new challenge at Crafting from the Heart today.

Our challenge is Just for Fun and the theme is the usual

Always Anything Goes.

My project has been made for a very special person but she will not have received it yet so I cannot say her name, just hope she likes it.

The dies I have used are sue wilsons noble dies for the frame.  The sentiment is a freebie die from the Tattered Lace magazine which I just thought would be such a useful die hence buying the magazine.

I have also used some backing paper from the same magazine.  The leaves are also a tattered lace die and the flowers have been stamped onto parchment and embossed using white detail embossing powder but I cannot remember which flower stamp I have used sorry.  I then finished off with tonic nuvo pearl drops which I just love.

Certificates

Good morning. Well I had a brilliant birthday last weekend, started  last Thursday with a meal out with my friend and ended Wednesday on a birthday bash with my slimming world chums.

Today I start to take advantage of my new 'oapie' status with an eye test, a free one.  Yippee, only free thing I have ever had so clearly there is some good points to reaching the big 60.

We also start a lovely new challenge at Crafty Girlz today.

Our theme is

Anything Goes or an option theme of Back to School

I have used a digi kit in craft artist called 'Certificates' so it is sort of 'back to school' but could also be for graduation too.

Memories

Good morning all.  How are you all?

Today sees a new challenge beginning at Crafting from the Heart.

Our challenge is sponsored by

The digi stamp I chose to use from our sponsor is called 'Memories'

I do like Ppinky Dolls digis because can be used coloured or uncoloured.

I chose to keep mine uncoloured for this challenge and have made it up as a sympathy card, a subject that is needed but often hard to make.

I have dies from Sue Wilson Noble collection - the rectangles and ovals.  Also an embossing folder from Sue Wilson.

The sentiment is from Phill Martin, the flowers are stamped and embossed onto vellum and are from Dreamees and the 'leaves' are Marianne dies.

To enter your own project into our challenge follow the link HERE.  Also we have a facebook  page where you can showcase your makes.

Thank you for visiting, hope to see you again soon.

Snow Lady in Autumn

My 2nd post of the day is to launch a new challenge at Get Creative Challenge

Challenge 62 has a theme of
Autumn/Fall

Our sponsors for this challenge are

My post for today is using a digi stamp from Fred She Said Designs.

I have a confession to make, when I chose this digi, called 'Snow Lady Light Up Your Holidays' I had in mind to start my christmas cards - silly me never reminded myself of the theme for this challenge.

You can image when I was sent my digi, I thought, 'Oh Lord have I messed up, then I remembered a conversation with someone years ago, her small daughter had a birthday in November but absolutely adored snowmen, this was before Disney's film with Oleg.

So I thought, follow the autumn colours and make a birthday card for someone who just loves snowmen.  Hopefully you like my finished sample and don't think it too wacky - LOL.

I did print out my image in craftartist and added some autumnal leaves before printing.  I have coloured it in using my copics and also printed a backing paper from the same digi kit.

The dies I have used are from Sue Wilson noble collection - you will gathered by now I use these collections loads.  The flowers were die cut using dies from Tattered Lace and I finished off with leaf dies from Sue Wilson.  Given I also am a big face of nuvo drops I have added those too.

To enter your own project into our challenge follow the ling HERE but don't forget to follow the theme.

That's me for today  Thanks for visiting again.

See you soon and do take care.

Friendship

Good morning again.  Yes another post today.

A new challenge is beginning at SimplyCreateToo.

Challenge 131 has a theme of

To make this card I used one of my tonic dies cut into the backing card.  I then stamped my sentiment which is from a stamp set by Justrite.  The backing paper was a freebie from a tattered lace magazine.

The flowers are a die from tattered lace cut in yellow and white card layered up and finished off with a blue button.  Flourishes are also a die, I think from sue wilson and all placed on top of my two lots of ribbon.  Finally I finished off with some nuvo tonic pearl drops in the corners.

Why not follow the link HERE to our challenge to enter your own project and also to see what the rest of our design team have chose to showcase.

Thank yo for visiting today.
