Miss JJ Coffee

Good morning.  Well I have had a lovely week away in Devon at a self catering cottage just outside Holsworthy.   I just love this time of year and it is always so quiet in Bude with lovely little shops all dressed up for Christmas.  Also paid our annual visit to Dartington Crystal and bought some Christmassy bits.

Countdown to our Christmas has now officially started.  Yes our tree will be going up and I am not apologising as I LOVE CHRISTMAS and all is preparations leading up to it.

However, onto important bits - a new challenge starts at Crafting from the Heart today.  It is not a Christmas card but it is one close to my heart as I am terrible in the morning until I have had my first cup of coffee - hee hee.

digi stamp I have used is 'Miss JJ Coffee'

This image was already coloured so I decided to use it in my serif craft artist programme. However when purchasing this from Bugaboo you do get the coloured version and the digi stamp version.

Just follow the link HERE to the challenge where you can enter your own project and see what our design team have showcased.

Good luck in the challenge and I do hope you will visit again soon.

Joy to the World

Good morning all.  We have a lovely new challenge beginning today at Crafty Girlz.

Our theme for this month is: -

Anything Goes / Optional - Make it Christmas

For my post today I have used the Festive Berries stamp set by the lovely Phill Martin.  This frame is absolutely gorgeous. I have stamped it with white detail embossing powder onto Kraft card.  Nothing something I have used very much, the Kraft card but I am a convert now.

The sentiment was also from Phill Martin's Festive Berries.  My poinsettia flowers are stamped onto vellum using a stamp set from spellbinders which matches their poinsettia dies.  My leaves are dies from Creative Expressions - Berry Bough to which I have added some berries cosmic shimmer pearl drops.

Thanks for visiting today.  Good luck in the challenge.

Gracie Fairy

Good morning.  Hope you all had a good weekend?

Gosh was I glad when last week was over workwise.  My internet connection finally went, have been having problems since May but because it is a company one which I have to report  via our IT department.  Well the last three weeks have got steadily worse,  it has kept dropping out for long periods.  Wednesday afternoon it gave up the ghost so IT had to report it to BT.  Thursday I had to work with no internet.  Don't we rely on this internet alot.  I could get access to my company email but all my work is retained on their server so I was really limited.  An easy day but frustrating.  Today I have my new hub box so hopefully this week will be better - fingers crossed.

Well enough of my work woes, we start a lovely new challenge at Crafting from the Heart today which is sponsored by: -

I have used a lovely little digi called Gracie Fairy.  After printing her out onto watercolour card I used my Tim Holtz marker pens to watercolour her in.  I then fussy cut her out.

Given I am addicted to weaving, I die cut two weaves from Creative Expressions weaving dies and began my weaving - very relaxing I have to say.

All of the dies are from Creative Expressions.  My flowers have been stamped using Layered Blooms from Honey Doo Crafts and WOW Totally Teal embossing powder.  Lots of fussy cutting my blooms out which I find very relaxing.

Thanks for visiting today.

Poinsettia Cluster

Good morning. If anyone went to the NEC Birmingham to the craft show hope you had a good time.  My crafting chum Wendy and I decided not to do this one this year as we are saving for Ally Pally in April 2018.  We had such a good time last year, a brilliant weekend.

A new challenge begins at Get Creative today.

Challenge 64  theme is  Holidays

I have used a digi stamp from Ikes Art called Poinsettia Cluster which I have water-coloured using Tim Holtz distress marker pens Forest Moss and Candied Apple.

The sentiment I used is from Phill Martin's Festive Berries Elegant Sentiments stamp set which I have embossed using cosmic shimmer detail gold embossing powder.

I have kept my design simple because I wanted the image to stand out and to be honest I didn't think it needed anything else, hope you agree.  I have inked around the edge using distress ink - candied apple.

If you want to enter your own project into the challenge just follow the link HERE. You can also check out what the rest of the design team have been up to using images from all our sponsors.

Good luck in the challenge and thank you for visiting my blog today.

Betty & Bertie's Christmas

Good morning.

I do love Friday's as it is the start of my weekend and today I will be spending the day with my Mom, visiting the hairdressers then lunch.

We also start a new challenge at Simply Create Too Challenge.

Our theme for this month is

Clean and Simple

Always hard for me as I love adding 90 million flowers to my cards but I have kept this simple.

I have been playing in the serif craft artist programme using Betty & Bertie's Christmas Digi Kit.

The card is a C5 and I have used the shadow effect.

above is the inside of the card and below is the rear of the card.

To enter your own project into the challenge follow the link HERE and don't forget your project can be anything so long as it is 'Clean and Simple'.

Good luck and I hope you will visit again soon.

August Garden 54

Hi everyone.  Hope this post finds you well?

We start a new challenge at Crafty Girls Creations which is sponsored by

I have used a digi stamp called August Garden 54 which I have coloured in using my Tim Holtz distress marker pens for a change.  The colours I have used are Mustard Seed, Forest Moss and Frayed Burlap.

To create the background I again used Mustard Seed and Forest Moss but in the distress inks. I then ran it through an embossing folder from Crafters Companion.

The sentiment is from Phill Martin's Blossom Everyday Sentiments stamp set die cut out using Sue Wilson's Flag Dies.  All finished off with Tonic nuvo drops Ebony Black.
