Aged to Perfection

Good morning.  Hope you are all enjoying your bank holiday Monday, I know I am - major crafting day for me - brilliant.

We start a new challenge at Crafting from the Heart today also.

Challenge 159 is sponsored by

When I saw this image, Stella Birthday, Aged to Perfection,  I just fell in love with it.  Maybe because I am soon to reach to 60, it just appealed to me.

I have kept it simple, I started with an basic white 8x8 card followed by a piece of navy blue card which I pricked around the edges in Sue Wilson style.  I then used a piece of patterned paper from my crafty stash which I ran through an embossing folder and then distressed around the edges.

I have also distressed the edges on my image and sentiment and matted those onto some more navy card.

Follow the link HERE to our blog challenge where you will find more ideas from our design team and also you can enter your own project into the challenge.

Thank you for visiting today.  Hope to see you again soon.

Sent with Love

Good morning folks. We have a lovely new challenge beginning at Crafty Girlz today.

We have an inspirational photo for our theme this time.

The colours I have chosen to use are Pink and Brown.

I started with a piece of pink card.  I then cut a piece of white card and die cut around the edges using some corner dies from Tonic.

I then inked an embossing folder using Tattered Rose distress ink, ran it through my calibre and then inked around the edges using Expresso distress ink.

Whilst at Ally Pally I purchased some starlight paints from Imagination Crafts which I have never used before.  Using one of their stencils I cover it using Dried Rose starlight and left to dry then die cut using a square deckled edge die from Tonic.  I also die cut the middle out using the same set of dies.

My sentiment stamped using a Phill Martin stamp and black vcersafine.  I then die cut it out using the flag dies from creative expressions and matted it onto a piece of brown card.

The flowers are stamped using stamps from Dreamees. Expresso distress ink and parchment which I then cut out and shaped.  All finished off with some leaves die cut using a leaf die from creative expressions.

Have a Lovely Day

My final post today and another challenge starts at Crafty Girls Creations Challenge.

Challenge 35 is Just for Fun.

I love these challenges because I can use anything from my crafty stash and just play.

I picked an embossing folder and inked the embossed side before placing my card in and running it through my caliber.

My main die is called 'Madeline' and is a creative expressions one. The leaves are also die cut from creative expressions dies.

My sentiment is a stamp from the lovely Phill Martin's blossom stamp set.

The flowers are stamps from Chloes Creative Cards stamped onto vellum using embossing powder from cosmic shimmer.  I have used her peony collection and pretty flowers set.

I finished off with some gems in the centre of the flowers.

Rachel

Hi, back again with details of a new challenge beginning at Get Creative Challenge.

Challenge 58 has a theme of

'Must Use Buttons & Bows.

We have three sponsors for this challenge

I have used a digi stamp from Sheepski Designs called 'Rachel'

I started by taking the image into my serif craft artist and removed the white from the hat replacing it with a material from a digi kit which has knitted materials within it.

I then printed out the image and coloured the rest of her in with my copic marker pens.  I then fussy cut her out using my BSC on the 'direct to cut' with a 0.4mm border.

I made the basket weave background using a weaving die from creative expressions and also made a small frame again using dies from creative expressions, one of the shadow box collection - lattice frames.

The embossing folder is actually a button 8x8 folder from crafters companion and the bow is another die cut from creative expressions

I finished off my card with some buttons sporadically placed within the embossing folder.

Wendy's 50th Birthday

Good morning all.

We have a new challenge beginning today at Creative Ladybirds Creations.

Our theme for challenge 26 is 'Anything Goes'.

My post today is a card I made for my dear crafting chum, Wendy who was 50 this year.

I have used the book die from tattered lace.  The coloured card I have embossed using an A4 embossing folder from creative expressions.

The sentiment is from a set of stamps by John Lockwood and the '50 today' is a stamp from Chloe's Creative Cards.
The flowers have also been made using a flower stamp from my stamp stash which I have stamped onto vellum using a blue sparkle embossing powder and white detail powder.  The leaves are die cuts using a die from creative expressions.  I also made a box too.

If you wish to see more projects made by our design team please follow the link HERE to our blog and don't forget to enter your own project into the challenge too.

Thank you for visiting today and for any comments you choose to leave, I always appreciate your comments and thoughts.

Harper Blue

Hello all.  Hope you are all well today.

Several posts today all for challenges starting today.

This post is to launch a new challenge at Crafting from the Heart.

Challenge 157 has a theme of 'Always Anything Goes'

Our sponsor for this challenge is

I have used a lovely digi called 'Harper Blue' a really lovely teenager digi although I think it would suit any young girl or woman.

After printing I coloured her in using my copic marker pens.  I then fussy cut her out using my BSC on the 'direct to cut' facility with a 0.4mm border.

I have embossed a piece of white card using a bark embossing folder from couture.  I then kissed it on the embossed side with some cosmic shimmer Mediterranean blue gilding polish and then die cut a frame out using creative expressions double pierced noble rectangle dies.

The mats are also white card but edged again with the same blue gilding polish.  The flowers which are cut from a tattered lace die and the leaves from a creative expressions die are also plain white card but coloured with the blue gilding polish.

Although I don't think you can see it properly in the photograph but the leaves I have also triple embossed to give them a high shine.  Also they were a little sticky from the glue even though they had dried for a couple of days so I covered that with the triple embossing.

I have finished my flower off with a small blue button and a sentiment which I stamped using a Phill Martin stamp and versafine ink.  Again I have edged it with the blue gilding polish.
