Bugaboo January

Good morning all.

A brand new challenge begins today at Crafting from the Heart.

Our theme is the usual 'Always Anything Goes'

Our sponsor for this challenge is

Bugaboo Stamps

The digi image I have chosen to use for this challenge is called 'January Word'.

I chose this image because I felt it could be used for any occasion in January and was suitable for any age and any sex,

I have kept my card simple and flat.  I have put some glitter on for the snow bits.  I coloured the image using my copic sketch markers.

I also set myself a challenge, to use all white card and from my bit box which I succeeded in doing.

The 'coloured card' used for matting is white card and I have going around the edges with my copic marker pen.

To see more samples of digis from our sponsor and also to enter your own project into the challenge follow the link HERE.

Don't forget to check out our facebook page too.

Thanks for visiting today. Hope to see you again soon.

Take care.

Something Simple

Good morning all.

We have a new challenge at Crafty Girlz starting today.

Our theme is 'Anything Goes'.

We have no sponsor for our challenge this month and we are all looking forward to seeing your projects. You can enter your project by following the link HERE where you can also see what our design team have made too.

This month I have kept my design fairly simple. To be honest I already had the matting and layering which I had intended to use for a customers order but changed my mind on the colouring.

The flower I stamped using a stamp from Chloes Creative Cards onto vellum and some cosmic shimmer lustre embossing powder.  I have also used double pierced rectangle dies and flag dies from Sue Wilson and Creative Expressions.

Good luck in the challenge and thank you for visiting today.

Hope to see you again soon.

Bad Bitsy

Good morning.  Monday morning and I am back at work after a lovely long Christmas break.  I will admit, although I love my job, I am not looking forward to this morning as I will have three weeks to catch up on.  Oh well soon be Tuesday and my day off - LOL.

We have a lovely new challenge starting at Crafting from the Heart.

Our sponsor for this challenge is

Rick St Dennis

You know when you are looking at digi stamps and one just jumps out at you?  Well the digi stamp I have used from Rick St Dennis did just that it 'jumped' out at me but when I got it I hadn't a clue what I was going to do with it other than colour it in using my copic markers.

The digi stamp is called Bad Bitsy and she just made me smile when I saw her.

I eventually found myself a layout and then I was watching Julia Watts on Hochanda demoing the weaving dies, now I happen to have one of those - the classic one -  and I hadn't a clue what to do with it and hadn't played with it until then.

My layout just developed from there and I so enjoyed 'weaving'.  I have used a basic weave and I do agree with Julia these are not quick cards but very enjoyable to make and given I can spend all afternoon making a card it wouldn't bother me.

The other dies I have used are also from Sue Wilson - the lattice frames and the leaves plus the tags.  My flower is stamped from a stamp by Chloes Creative Cards and WOW powder - Rose Mint.  The sentiment is from my stamp stash using a grey ink.

Thanks for visiting today.  Why not follow the link HERE to our blog where you can enter your own project - the theme is 'Always Anything Goes' and also see some more designs from our sponsor used by our design team.

We also have a facebook page too.

I have entered this card into the following challenge: -

The Crafty Addicts - Challenge 32 ATG/Monochromatic
Country View Crafts - January ATG
Crafts Galore Encore - ATG January
Crafty Awesomeness - ATG January

See you soon I hope.

New Beginnings

Hi folks, hope you are all well this Friday morning.  As regular visitors to my blog may know I don't work Fridays so I am having a 'lazy' get up this morning as I am also still on annual leave, going back to work on Monday.  Gosh that is going to be hard as I have been off work for 3 weeks.

I am planning some crafting later today.

We start a new challenge today at Simply Create.

For challenge 123 we have a theme of

New Beginnings

this could be new baby, wedding, engagement, new home, new job and the list goes on.

Actually now we mention new baby, I have never understood that term - can you have an old baby?

I chose to do a baby boy card which I have designed in Serif Craft Artist using

Digi kit - Baby Bumper

I have also based it on a design from Sue Wilson and her shadow box die so I really do hope she doesn't mind.

If you want to see more ideas from our design team follow the link HERE to our blog and don't forget to enter your own project.

Looking forward to seeing your designs and hope to see you again soon.

Thanks for visiting - take care.

Lizzy Love

Good morning all.  Hope you had a good New Years Day?

I shall be doing some major crafting today.  I have been creating some backgrounds using the acetate, glue and pixie powder technique shown to us by the talented Julie Watts on Hochanda.

I have to say I am quite pleased with my results so shall be making some cards up today using those backgrounds which will be posted at some stage.

Hope you have a good day today.

We have a new challenge starting at Get Creative.

To start the new year off we have a theme of
'Anything Goes'

We have three generous sponsors for this challenge: =

I have chosen to use a digi stamp from Oddball Art called 'Lizzy Love'.

I have printed her out using Copic Xpress It card and coloured her in using my copic markers as follows: -

Skin = E0000 | E00 | E01
Hair = W1 | W5 | W7
Top = R32 | R35 | R37
Jeans = BV23 | BV25 | BV29

The backing papers I have used are from digi kits found in Serif Craft Artist

Bizarre & Fantastic
Love in the Air

I have also used dies from Sue Wilson and flower stamps from Chloes Creative Crafts embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Pearl Lustre embossing powder.  Finished off using Nuvo tonic pearl drops.

To enter your own project into our challenge and also to see some designs from all our sponsors created by our design team please follow the link HERE.

Thanks for visiting today. Take care and I hope to see you again soon.

Winter Fae - Happy Birthday

Good morning to you all and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Good luck with any new year resolutions you may have made.  I have to admit I don't do that anymore as I always break them sometime during Jan - LOL.

I shall be spending a lovely relaxing day with my hubby Rob, my dog Enya and my mom Sheila.  Hope you are having a lovely 1st January 2017.

We have a super new 'ATG' challenge starting at Crafty Girls Creations.

Our sponsor for this challenge is

The digi stamp I have used is called 'Winter Fae'.

After printing out onto Cope Express It card I coloured 'Fae' in using my copic markers as follows: -

Face = E0000 | E00 | E01 | E04
Coat = BG01 | BG05 | BG09
Hair = W3 | W5 | W7
YR04

I also added some glitter to the fur on 'Faes' hat and coat.

I cut a piece of 6x6 white card which I stencilled using Decadent Teal Colour Cloud (Phil Martin), and a stencil called Trellis from Imagination Crafts.

I then die cut a round frame in teal foundation card using Sue Wilson's double pierced circle dies which I attached to my stencilled card using foam tape to add depth.

Some matting and layering with teal and white card I then affixed my stencil/frame topper.

I die cut 'Fae' using a spellbinders die and also cut a faux mat in teal.

I die cut two flags in teal and white using stitched flags die from Sue Wilson and stamped my sentiment and embossed it using Decadent Teal Embossing Powder (Phil Martin).

I affixed my flags and topper again using foam tape for depth and then finished my card off using Teal Cosmic Shimmer UPVA pearl drops.
