Gina Cupcake

Good morning all.

Roll on 4pm today as I finish work until the 9th January 2017 - HEAVEN.  Major crafting planned between Christmas and New Year.

Well today we start a new challenge at Crafty Girls Creations.

Our theme is 'Anything Goes'.

Our sponsor is

I chose to use a digi stamp called 'Gina Cupcake'.

It is a beautiful digi for any age of birthday.

I coloured Gina in using my copic marker pens and then fussy cut her using my BSC with a border.

I have been itching to use my new stamps from the very talented Phil Martin.  Completely different style for him but they are gorgeous.

I stamps the Inkspirational Daisy Frame using Basil Leaf Colour Cloud.  This is a big stamp so I placed it on my mat and took my card to it.  I then fussy cut it using my BSC on direct to scan. I also cut a mat out in brown card.

Because I wanted to keep the colours I cut a piece of white card and used Basil Leaf colour cloud to ink around the edges.  I embossed a piece of white card to mat and layer and then assembled my frame and little Gina Cupcake.

I finished off my card using some nuvo tonic apple green pearly drops.

Thank you for visiting today.

Hope to see you again soon.

We start a new challenge at our Crafty Girlz Creations challenge.

Mels Cell from Aliciabel

Good morning.  My 2nd post of the day to tell you its our 2nd blogaversary at Get Creative Challenge.

Challenge 52 theme is 'Birthday'.

Our sponsors for this challenge are

AND

I have used a digi stamp from AliciaBel called Mels Cell.

She is gorgeous and so useful especially in this day and age when so many people have phones surgically attached to their hand or ear - hee hee.  You've have probably guessed I really don't do phones other than in an emergency.

Anyway, on with crafting - I have coloured 'Mel' using copic marker pens.  The fussy cut her out plus a mat using my BSC on the direct to cut function.

My background is made with Pixie Powders.  Yes I have discovered them and I LOVE THEM.

I enjoy making my own backgrounds anyway and the pixie powders are just wonderful to work with and you can do so much with them.  I use John Lockwoods method and do one using watercolour card, then do 2nd generation plain card followed by 3rd generation parchment and finally clean it all up with kitchen roll which I leave screwed up until the following day.

Then I was watching Phil Martin on Hochanda and he showed yet another way of using pixie powders, Roll on my hols over Christmas when I can have a really good play now I have most of them.  Definitely worth the money. Must check out Julie Watts you tube as she has even more ways of using them.  oooo roll on Christmas.

I die cut the frames using double pierced rectangle dies.  My flowers were stamped using Phils old gold embossing powder and stamps from Dreamees onto parchment.  The leaves are new dies from Sue Wilson which I have double embossed again using old gold embossing powder.  I finished off my card by stamped two tags using Phil Martins new Daisy stamps and old gold embossing powder.

I have to admit to being really proud of this card and I know exactly who I shall be giving it to for her birthday next year.

To enter your own project into our 2nd blogaversary challenge follow the link HERE.  Don't forget to follow the theme.

Thanks for visiting again today.  Take care and I hope to see you again soon.

I must admit I hadn't heard of this company before but having worked with the lovely digi stamp called 'Snowglobe' I shall certainly be checking out her blog.

This image was pure delight to colour.

I have used a mixture of copic marker pens for her face and sakura pens for her hat and dress.  I have also glittered the fur around her hat and pom pom.  Hopefully you can see that.

Some matting and layering using white base card and some blue card.  I have used a creative expressions embossing folder called 'icicles' and made the flower using a stamp from Chloes Creative Cards, parchment and cosmic shimmer denim sparkle embossing powder.

I then finished it off with some tonic nuvo pearl drops and a sentiment also stamped in the denim sparkle embossing powder.

Rainy Days

Good morning all.  Hope you had a good weekend.

I have had a busy couple of weeks.  Been on holiday to Cornwall where we had a brilliant time staying in a lovely cottage down in Delabore just outside Port Isaac.  I have to admit the cottage was more suited to shorter folk but we all had a good time and it was a lovely clean and cosy cottage.

Whilst we were away we had the decorators in so when we got back we had a nicely painted lounge, kitchen, hall, stairs and landing but had to put the house back together again.  For the past 6 months all I seem to have done is pack things away and get things out again.  Hopefully we are done for a while now - phew.  So I haven't been able to do any crafting during the week.  Plus, I have had to have a new computer and seem to have lost my challenge folder.  I honestly thought I had transferred it but can't find it.  What am I like!!!!!

Friday was hair and lunch with mom. Saturday was GBCF at Stoneleigh with my friend Wendy, bought lots of goodies, had a lovely time. Sunday was my moms 80th birthday so we went out for Sunday lunch.

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Crafting from the Heart and given I had not been able to do any actual crafting I thought, 'what can I do' with my lovely image from Scrappers Delight?

I have said this before but I do think if you are not into colouring you may very well dismiss digi stamps, which is a shame because we have some very talented artists producing some wonderful digi stamps for us crafters.  To be honest, if you don't like colouring I think you can still use digi images so, hopefully, my card today will prove that.

Our sponsor for this challenge is

I chose 'Rainy Days' from our sponsor and I will be using this one again and colouring her in but today I have imported her into Serif Craft Artist.

I used backing papers, materials and embellishments from various digi kits.  The flowers and leaves I had to colour black as they were a different colour.

I have used an 8x8 card blank within Craft Artist.

To see more samples made using digis from our sponsor by our design team just follow the link HERE and you can also enter your own project at the same time.

Don't forget our theme is the usual 'Always Anything Goes'.

Don't forget to visit our facebook page too.  There is loads going on there.

I do hope you like my post today and would like to thank you for visiting.

Take care.
