Hi, hope you are enjoying your Sunday. This little girl is a stamp I bought sometime ago from a scottish company called Funky Kits. She is called 'Outdoor Adventures and I hope you will agree she is lovely.
I started with a C5 white card and cut another piece of white card slightly smaller and with a plain blue biro put lines all around. I then matted a piece blue patterned backing paper onto that. The backing paper is another freebie from the making cards magazine. I coloured Outdoor Girl in with a combination of spectrum noirs and copics, diecut her out with labels 8 spellbinders and inked around the edge with antique linen distress inks. The doily is plain white paper die cut with a die from spellbinders moroccan motifs. The flourish is a cherry lynn one called tropical flourish. I do hope you like it and thanks for viewing my blog.
Wow, Kandy! She is so lovely! Did you emboss the stamped image before coloring her in? The effect is gorgeous! Your coloring and shading is lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour card is simply beautiful!
Warmest Hugs, Sheryl
Hi Sheryl, thank you so much for all your lovely comments. Yes I do always emboss my stamped images as I like the shiny look. That is the main reason I have stayed away from digistamps however, when I make cards I do like using an image I have coloured in and with digistamps it does give me a bigger image pool and they are definitely cheaper so I am now a big convert. Thanks for following my blog.
