Good day to you all.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that my scheduling will be working okay as the next four days will be scheduled.

I will be on my way to a weekend away with my mum.  We are going down to a Warner Leisure Hols at Cricket St Thomas, just the two of us.  Hubby and Enya are staying at home so he will have a bit of peace and quiet this weekend won't he!

My card today was another specialised order for a gentleman called Andy.  The lady who ordered the card was buying Andy a bird table and wanted a card to go with her pressie.  The backing paper on this card was from a Jo Sheen CD and the stamp was from Dimension Stamps as was the alphabet which actually comes with the 'appy' and irthday'  As I have said before it is a really useful set especially for personalised cards.  Andy's name was finished off with some brass alphabet embellishments.

Happy Birthday

Hello crafters and followers. Hope you are all well today.
I make no apologies for today's card - the layout was from a card Sue Wilson did quite a while ago and I just wanted to try it out as it looked so effective because it uses so many different diecuts although Sue did use all spellbinders.  Hopefully Sue won't mind me using her layout.  This card was made for my sister-in-law Bev.
I started with some plain green card which I placed onto my C5 plain white base card.  I then stamped and clear embossed some more white card with leaf and swirl stamps.  I used the same swirl stamp on the bookmark only in a different colour.  Then came all the die cutting  and finally finishing off with the butterfly  and the sentiment.

60 Years Young

Hi fellow crafters and followers, my creation today was made for my hubby's 60th.  He is guitar mad - can't play very well but still likes to buy them, much to my disgust, because storage is a problem and he is not having my craft room - no way.
Anyway, I digress - this one was for his 60th birthday and it is an 8x8.  All the stamps were from Dimension Stamps.  I do think men's cards are difficult because I can't put flowers etc on them however, he loved his card and really didn't mind the 60, so large, on the front.  The backing paper was from one of Joanne Sheens cd roms but I cannot remember which one, sos.

Hi folks.  Gosh didn't that bank holiday whoosh by?  Tuesday already and tomorrow I am back at work.  No crafting then until next Tuesday as I will be away for the weekend with my mum.
Another special order card for today.  Pat was 75 years young.  Her favourite colour was pink / blue and she adored shoes/handbags and shopping.
This card is an 8x8 plain white card followed by some pink pearlised card and then some more white card.  I have taken this one into Serif to display as the photography left alot to be desired, plus I don't intend to enter this into any challenges.
The pink stripe paper was from my crafty stash.  The handbag and shoes are from Dawn Bibby designs and was coloured in with spectrum noirs.  Pat's name was stamped and embossed using the alphabet stamps from Dimension Stamps again but this time stamped onto plain white and coloured in to match the shoes and handbag.  Once these were dry I also covered them with glossy accents to give them a nice clear shine.  The wording was also from the Dawn Bibby designs and came with the shoes and handbag.

The image is a 'Flippin Women' stamp and was so suitable it was unreal.  I coloured her in with spectrum noirs, cut her out and then placed her onto the pink nestie.  All finished off with some gems.
Now I actually met Pat a few months after her birthday, she was with the customer who ordered her card.  I was introduced and as we were in a garden centre we all went for coffee.  I am pleased to say she spent the next half hour talking about her card, how much she loved it and that it had stayed on her mantel piece from some considerable time and is now in a draw very safe so she can still take it out and look at it.  You can imagine how I felt - I think my head just about managed to get out of the door of the coffee shop - hee hee.  I left that garden centre floating!

Good evening everyone how are you all today?  Fine I hope.
Bank holiday monday has turned out to be a bit of washout hasn't it?  Although it was fine this morning so our briard Enya managed to get two walks in.  I went to our local garden centre which has a Hobbycraft, it also has a lovely field which Enya adores as she is allowed to run free and tease a couple of springer spaniels who live across the stream.  She will stand looking at them and just wind them up a treat then calmly walk off as though butter wouldn't melt - little madam.  She never barks at them, mind you they do enough of that - hee hee.
Well today's card was made specifically to order, which I do quite abit of.  Yes her name was Jenny, it was a special birthday and Jenny had taken up growing her own vegetables so the Flippin' Women stamp was ideal.
The card is an 8x8, pearlised pastel green card followed by some pink patterned paper which was printed out from one of the Jo Sheen cd's but I can't remember which one.  I then stamped and embossed the name from an alphabet by Dimension Stamps, a beautiful alphabet with is very versatile.  As you can see I used the backing paper for that.  Once those were cut out I placed them onto some more pearlised green card.  The image is stamped and embossed onto watercoloured card.

I coloured this in with whisper watercoloured pens.  Die cut it with a spellbinders die and then made a faux nestie with the pearlised green card.  The corners are die cut with a marianne die.
I know the recipient was thrilled to bits with her card and apparently it stayed on her mantle piece way longer than all the other cards so I was pleased with that.

Flower For You

Good afternoon crafters and followers.  Bank Holiday Sunday and have I been lazy or what!
I stayed in bed watching a film until nearly midday - haven't done that for a long time.  So my Sunday has started off very relaxed - hee hee.
Now to my card for today I have returned to sweet little Humphrey.  He has been coloured in using spectrum noirs, die cut and inked around the edges with distress inks.  The backing paper is an m-bossibilities folder which I inked first before putting the paper in and then ran it through my GC.  Hopefully you cannot see the join but it was run through twice.  The leaves are from spellbinders and the flower is another die from the docrafts range.

Gilded Car

Good afternoon crafters and followers.  Before I go on to talk about today's card I would just like to take this opportunity of thanking everyone who takes the time to leave comments on my cards.  All your comments are so welcome and I can't thank you enough.
My card today is a mans, you will probably have guessed.  It is a simple layout but this was my first attempt at using the gilding flakes from Indigo Blu.  I was quite pleased the way this turned out and the guilding flakes are so easy to use and so suitable for a man's card which I always find difficult.
