Black Lace

Good morning.  Isn't Friday wonderful?  The weekend has begun and I will be on my way down to London with my crafty chum Wendy for 2 wonderful days of crafting therapy at Ally Pally.
We have started a new challenge at Simply Create Too

Challenge 137 has a theme of

Must Use Die Cuts
You can enter any project just so long as you use die cuts.

My card was based, loosely, on a card I saw the lovely Phill Martin make on his last visit to Hochanda with his lovely new stamps.  I loved the layout but hadn't got the stamps so I found a background stamp in my stamp stash and went from there.

I stamped my background onto the black card and embossed it with cosmic shimmer detail black embossing powder.

I have also used another background stamp and embossed the edges again with black embossing powder.

My flower is a die from spellbinders and the flourishes are from creative expressions.

Once I put the flower together I did ink the edges with black colour cloud.  I then finished it off using some black tonic nuvo drops in the flourish and in the centre of the flower.

Thanks for visiting today.  You take care.

Air Fairy

Good morning. Hope you are enjoying your Easter weekend?

We start a lovely new challenge over a Get Creative this morning.

Our theme is

No Pattern Paper

We are sponsored this month by

My card is an 8x8 square  and I used the following: =

I began by cutting a piece of white card 7.75"x7.75" and inking around the edges.  I then cut another piece of white card 7.5"x7.5" and embossed it.
I cut two more pieces of white card 6"x3" which I also inked around the edges followed by 2 pieces of white card 5.75"x2.75" which I used to stamp the Papillon DL stamp and then embossing it.
My flowers were also stamped and embossed. I cut three large and three medium flowers and curled the edges.  I also cut two leaves which I did cut down to make smaller.
With two bits of white card I die cut using the corner die from the Ribbon Threader, cut them out and then threaded the ribbon through.
I finished off with a small purple gem in the middle of the flower.

Please do follow the link HERE to our challenge to see what designs the rest of our design team have done and also to enter your own project.  Don't forget any project just follow the theme.

Thank you for visiting today. Happy Easter.

Gina Caribe

Good morning and Happy Easter Sunday.  I have been good this year and not had any chocolate, mind you I am not a chocolate lover to be honest but I did buy my hubby and mom a Lindt chocolate bunny.  What did I have, a summer top which is not fattening and no syns - LOL.

We start a new challenge today at Crafty Girls Creations.

The theme is
Anything Goes

Our sponsor this month is

I have coloured my digi image - Gina Caribe - using my Graphmaster and Copic alcohol pens.

I began by cutting down a piece of A5 white base card to 8"x 5.75".  I then cut another piece of white card 7.75" x 5.5" which I pierced around the edges using Sue Wilson's pricking ruler.

With another piece of white card cut down to fit within the piercing I die cut an oval shape out of the middle using my double pierced oval dies from Sue Wilson.  I then embossed it using an 8"x8" music embossing folder from Crafters Companion.

I have used Sue Wilsons classic weave die to make my background in pink and white.  I have to admit I am a bit addicted to this weaving.  I have only used the classic one so far but they look so good and something I can die whilst watching the TV in the evening.

I have fussy cut my image using my BSC on the direct to cut facility.

My flowers have been stamped using Flowers from the Heart stamps from Honey Doo Crafts and distress ink - mermaid lagoon.  Then die cut out. I cut 2 large, 1 medium and 1 small.  The leaves are from Sue Wilson's finishing touches.

I haven't put a sentiment on as this card is going into my stock so I can add that on as and when but you will  note I have left a little space at the bottom.
