Big Message Bloobel

Good morning.  What a beautiful Monday morning.  Well it is here in our household because I am on annual leave for a week - so NO work for a whole week -  just chilling with some crafting.  Heaven.

A new challenge starts today at Crafting from the Heart.

Our theme is 'Always Anything Goes'

Our sponsor for this challenge is

I have chosen a digital stamp called 'Big Message' which I thought would be a really useful image for lots of messages and events.

After printing I have coloured my image using my copic sketch markers.

My background is actually a left over one I made sometime ago, used two thirds on another project.  If is using a technique I picked up from Julie Watts.  I started with an A4 piece of heat resistant acetate, covered a large portion with of dries clear glue, I did put quite a thick coating on.  I then sprinkled my pixie powders on top of the glue and gave them a misting, not too much just to activate.  I then sprinkled some glitter on top of that and finally placed my tissue paper on top of it all.  I pressed my tissue paper into the glue GENTLY, don't rub at this stage just press so it is all settled then put it aside to dry.  I found at least over night.  What I did was spent an afternoon doing several of them.

I then cut my frame out using my double pierced oval dies and as you can see I have off set the middle one - I saw this on a card someone had made on the creative expressions facebook page and thought it looked really effective and different.

Some matting and layering prior to putting my oval frame on using some foam pads to raise it.

I then fussy cut my image and a mat using the direct cut facility on 'Brian' my BSC.

The flower is a die from tattered lace and the leaves are creative expressions dies.

After putting it together I realised I should have embossed one of the mats but it was too late so I finished it off with some nuvo tonic pearl drops - Caribbean ocean colour.  If you look closely you will see I have also used this for the eyes on my image.  Quite effective I feel.

All About Mom's

Good morning all.
We start a new challenge at Crafty Girlz today.

Our March challenge theme is

'All About Mom's'

I have been laying with stamps for my card today.

I started with some milk foundation card and had a good mooch through my stamps for different leaves.   I then cut three masks using allium flower stamps from Chloe's Creative Cards.  I then stamped one of the large stamps using Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers distress ink and then asked them.

Using a mixture of Gathered Twigs and Forest Moss distress inks I then stamped my leaves.

I then stamped my allium flowers onto vellum with perfect medium and then heat embossed them using WOW Totally Teal embossing powder. I enjoy cutting out flowers, I find it incredibly relaxing which is just as well given the amount of flowers I use on my projects - LOL.

I finished off by stamped my sentiment using versafine black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I have also added some pearls into the centre of the flowers.

The other dies I used at Creative Expressions double pierced rectangle dies.

I hope you pop over to our blog challenge to see more samples from our design team and also to enter your own project into the challenge.

Fairy Flower Party

Good morning.  My second post for today is for a new challenge beginning at Crafting from the Heart.

Challenge 149 is sponsored by

#

I have used a lovely digi stamp called Fairy Flower Party

I have coloured my digi image using my copic sketch alcohol markers and die cut using the noble pierced circle dies from creative expressions.  I have used the same set of dies to cut a green mat.

My background paper is printed from a digi kit from craft artist called Fairy Tales Spring.  I can't remember what the embossing folder strip is called - sorry.

I stamped my flowers onto vellum using flower stamps from Dreamees and cosmic shimmer duck egg speckle embossing powder.  Finishing off with die cut leaves from a die from creative expressions.

Nurse Margaret

Good morning.  Its Monday morning and my first post of the day.  A new challenge is starting at Get Creative

Challenge 56 theme is Favourite Colour Combo

Our sponsors for this challenge are: -
-

For my card I have chosen an image from Bugaboo Stamps called Nurse Margaret - be Nice to Me.

This is a good image for non colourists too as it is minimal colouring if you wish.

My colour combo is blue and white.

I have used my copic sketch alcohol markers to colour my image.  I have then fussy cut her out using my BSC on the direct to cut facility  and also cut a mat slightly larger.

I then cut a frame using creative expressions ornate pierced rectangles.  I then spritzed the frame with a little water and used midnight blue pixie powder.

My background I have used Tim Holz distress ink blue print sketch and stamped a Justrite text background.

Some matting and layering using navy card and then die cut the sentiment using a spellbinders die. I have then finished off the card with some blue gems in each corner.

Lots of Green

Good morning.  We have a lovely new challenge starting at Simply Create Too this morning

Challenge 125 has a theme of

'Lots of Green'

Firstly I must apologise for the quality of my photograph above, this was the best I could get unfortunately - you can tell I am no photographer!

My card for this challenge was made for a friend on her birthday.

My background was made using watercolour card and pixie powders.  I am so addicted to those pixie powders.  Have you tried them?  You can get some fantastic designs and every one will be different.

I have used various Sue Wilson dies and the flowers were stamped using green embossing powder.

My sentiment is from Phill Martins stamp collection.

If you wish to see more ideas from our design team follow the link HERE to our challenge blog and you can also enter your own project whilst visiting.  Don't forget you can enter any project so long as you follow the theme.

Thank for stopping by today.

Hope to see you again very soon.

Coffee Time

Good morning folks, my 2nd post of the day.

We have a new challenge beginning at Crafty Girls Creations today.

Our sponsor is

The digi image I have used is called BugMisJJCoffee.

I have coloured my image using copic sketch marker pens.  I used the green marker pen to colour my background mats so they matched up. I have also used some glossy accents on her glasses and tablet screen.

The striped background paper was from my crafty stash and I think it was from a tattered lace magazine.  I also found, in my crafty stamp stash, some stamps which are coffee and tea stamps.  To be honest I had forgotten I had them until using this image and then remembered.  That sounds bad doesn't?  Product of crafting for so long and buying so much crafty items - LOL.

I have used distress ink - ground expresso - to stamp my panel out.

You will also notice I haven't used flowers - which was hard but I liked the card as it was.  Hope you do too.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Take care and I hope to see you again soon.

Zara

Hello, my 1st post for today is to introduce a new challenge at Creative Ladybirds Creations.

Our sponsor is

The digi image I have used is called 'Zara'.

As regular visitors will know I like my pretty designs and I do love putting flowers on.  I would put Zara in a rock chick, grunge type card initially but I wanted to show that she can be a pretty card too.  The design is very flexible.

After printing her out I have coloured her in using copic sketch marker pens.

My background is parchment using pixie powders which probably isn't very clear as I have cut another background on my BSC which was a free svg cutting file from Birds Cards.

I die cut a frame using Sue Wilsons double pierced square dies. I have used her double pierced oval dies to die cut my image and a mat.  My flower is a tattered lace die using left over bits of the parchment pixie powder background and my feathers were a free die from a craft magazine.  I finished it off using Tonic nuvo drops - violet galaxy.
