She is gorgeous and so useful especially in this day and age when so many people have phones surgically attached to their hand or ear - hee hee. You've have probably guessed I really don't do phones other than in an emergency.
Anyway, on with crafting - I have coloured 'Mel' using copic marker pens. The fussy cut her out plus a mat using my BSC on the direct to cut function.
My background is made with Pixie Powders. Yes I have discovered them and I LOVE THEM.
I enjoy making my own backgrounds anyway and the pixie powders are just wonderful to work with and you can do so much with them. I use John Lockwoods method and do one using watercolour card, then do 2nd generation plain card followed by 3rd generation parchment and finally clean it all up with kitchen roll which I leave screwed up until the following day.
Then I was watching Phil Martin on Hochanda and he showed yet another way of using pixie powders, Roll on my hols over Christmas when I can have a really good play now I have most of them. Definitely worth the money. Must check out Julie Watts you tube as she has even more ways of using them. oooo roll on Christmas.
I die cut the frames using double pierced rectangle dies. My flowers were stamped using Phils old gold embossing powder and stamps from
Dreamees onto parchment. The leaves are new dies from Sue Wilson which I have double embossed again using old gold embossing powder. I finished off my card by stamped two tags using
Phil Martins new Daisy stamps and old gold embossing powder.
I have to admit to being really proud of this card and I know exactly who I shall be giving it to for her birthday next year.
