Witch on a Broomstick

Good morning everyone.

Hope you all remembered to change your clocks yesterday!  Isn't that extra hour lovely.  I never change my clocks until the morning so I wake up at one time and get to have that hour all over again when I put my clock back - heaven.

I also had a brilliant day yesterday with my mate Wendy at Phil Martin and Chloe Endean's craftathon.

As you will image with Chloe there was lots of glitter around.  We had a fabulous day completing some beautiful projects which I will showcase in due course.

Now for my post today we start a new challenge at Crafting from the Heart.

Challenge 134 is the usual 'Always Anything Goes'.

Our sponsor for this challenge is

I have chosen to use a digi stamp called 'Witch on a broomstick'.

I have coloured my image using copic sketch markers.

I then die cut it out using the round double pierced dies from creative expressions.  I also used this set of dies to create my frame in purple card.

My base card is a plain 8x8 white card followed by a piece of purple coloured card.

Using an A4 embossing folder called Twinkling Stars from creative expressions I covered the raised side with versamark and then embossed my white card making sure before I ran it through that I had wiped the card lots with my anti static pad because after embossing I heat embossed with cosmic shimmer purple glitter embossing powder.

My flowers were made using flower stamps from Chloe's Creative Crafts using parchment and a white lustre embossing powder from cosmic shimmer.

The leaves were die cut from a leaf die from creative expressions.

Christmas Flame

Thursday already, soon by the weekend.

I have had a good week this week as yesterday was my 25th wedding anniversary and although I was working I did enjoy the day - the best thing about working from home and yes I did get some work done but got to spend the day with my lovely husband.

We then went out for a lovely meal and had a nicely chilled bottle of champagne when we got home.

Well on to why you are visiting - we start a new challenge at Crafty Girls Creations.

Theme of 'Always Anything Goes'

For my card today I coloured my image in with sakura pens and have glittered the candle.

The background is an embossing folder from creative expressions using the debossed side and filling in with cosmic shimmer glitter paste, finishing off with some nuvo tonic pearl drops.

I created the oval frame using double pierced round dies and corners were  die cut using a spellbinders die.

Why not pop over to our challenge blog here to see our design team using some more digi stamps from our sponsor plus to enter your own project into the challenge.

Thanks for visiting today and HAPPY CRAFTING.

Christmas Colours

Good morning all.  We start a lovely new challenge at Simply Create Too today.

Challenge 121 has a theme of 'Christmas Colours'.

I have used red and gold for my Christmas colours.

Using the lovely snowflake stamps from Phil Martin I have stamped and embossed all my stamping in cosmic shimmer gold sparkle, mmmm lovely.

All of the dies I have used are from creative expressions - Sue Wilson except for the poinsettia and that stamp is from spellbinders. There is also a die to cut them out but I find cutting flowers out really relaxing.

Check out our blog to see more ideas from our design team and also to enter your own project - don't forget you can enter any project so long as you use 'Christmas Colours'.

Thanks for visiting.

Take care.

Simply Santa

Good morning.

Monday morning really does roll around quickly just lately.

This morning we start a new challenge at Crafting from the Heart.

Our theme is the usual 'Always Anything Goes'

I have used a super digi stamp from our sponsor called 'Simply Santa'.

I think he is so cure and santarish, yeah I know I made that word up but he is adorable.#

After printing him out I coloured him using my copic marker pens and using a glue pen and glitter, glittered his beard and furry bits.

The background is embossed using a snowflake embossing folder from crafters companion.

My sentiment was actually a freebie stamp from a stamping magazine and I cannot for the life of me remember which one but is is a gorgeous stamp which I have embossing using glitter embossing powder - ruby slippers - from cosmic shimmer.

All finished off with a big bow using crinkled ribbon from creative expressions.

If you wish to see more images used by our design team follow the link HERE to our challenge blog and also where you can enter your own project.

Happy 80th Birthday Mom

Good morning folks.

We start a new challenge at Crafty Girls Creations this morning.

Our theme is the usual 'Always Anything Goes'.

My post today is the card I made for my mom's 80th birthday which was on Sunday 2nd October 2016.

I have made my own background using pixie powders and kitchen roll all picked up from the fabulous John Lockwood.

All my dies at from Sue Wilson.  The stamp is also from John Lockwood, such a useful stamp.

The flowers are stamped onto parchment using a cosmic shimmer embossing powder. I finished it off using tonic nuvo drops on the oval frame and in the centre of the flowers.

Hope you like it as much as my mom did.

Rainy Days

Good morning all.  Hope you had a good weekend.

I have had a busy couple of weeks.  Been on holiday to Cornwall where we had a brilliant time staying in a lovely cottage down in Delabore just outside Port Isaac.  I have to admit the cottage was more suited to shorter folk but we all had a good time and it was a lovely clean and cosy cottage.

Whilst we were away we had the decorators in so when we got back we had a nicely painted lounge, kitchen, hall, stairs and landing but had to put the house back together again.  For the past 6 months all I seem to have done is pack things away and get things out again.  Hopefully we are done for a while now - phew.  So I haven't been able to do any crafting during the week.  Plus, I have had to have a new computer and seem to have lost my challenge folder.  I honestly thought I had transferred it but can't find it.  What am I like!!!!!

Friday was hair and lunch with mom. Saturday was GBCF at Stoneleigh with my friend Wendy, bought lots of goodies, had a lovely time. Sunday was my moms 80th birthday so we went out for Sunday lunch.

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Crafting from the Heart and given I had not been able to do any actual crafting I thought, 'what can I do' with my lovely image from Scrappers Delight?

I have said this before but I do think if you are not into colouring you may very well dismiss digi stamps, which is a shame because we have some very talented artists producing some wonderful digi stamps for us crafters.  To be honest, if you don't like colouring I think you can still use digi images so, hopefully, my card today will prove that.

Our sponsor for this challenge is

I chose 'Rainy Days' from our sponsor and I will be using this one again and colouring her in but today I have imported her into Serif Craft Artist.

I used backing papers, materials and embellishments from various digi kits.  The flowers and leaves I had to colour black as they were a different colour.

I have used an 8x8 card blank within Craft Artist.

To see more samples made using digis from our sponsor by our design team just follow the link HERE and you can also enter your own project at the same time.

Don't forget our theme is the usual 'Always Anything Goes'.

I do hope you like my post today and would like to thank you for visiting.

Take care.
