Aster

Good morning everyone.  May has come and gone so quickly and I now have to pack up my craftroom for a couple of months as we are being rewired.  I am soooooo not looking forward to this but it cannot be put off any longer.

Mind you it will give me a chance to tidy up my craftroom - I am such a messy crafter - plus I am getting a little more organised AND I will re-organise my craftroom when I begin to unpack so there are some pros to this.

I haven't seen you for a while but I have to say my friend Wendy and I went to a craftathon organised by Phil Martin and Chloe Endean on Sunday 22nd May.  What a super day we had.  It is the first time we had been and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  Met some lovely ladies, spent loads and we each managed to make 4 cards and get completely covered in glitter.  Well Chloe was in the house!

Phil, Chloe and their teams worked so hard to make sure we all had a fantastic day.

Definitely will be looking out for next year.

Crafting From The Heart starts a new challenge today.

Victorian Tea

Good morning folks.

Good job I have scheduled this post as I shall be travelling back from a weekend away with my Mom.  We have been on our yearly 'mommy/daughter' weekend and this year we have been to Alvaston Hall in Cheshire for a weekend of pure relaxation.  Pamper treatments, good food, good wine and good company what more could a girl want.  No guilt at leaving hubby at home with Enya our briard to fend for himself, I am sure he has had a lovely peaceful time of doing nothing.

Well, we start a new challenge at Crafting from the Heart this morning.

Theme is the usual 'Always Anything Goes'

Our sponsor for this challenge is

I have used an image called 'Victorian Tea'.

There are a sheet of tags and images and I used the teapot and cup with one tag.

They were quite easy to cut out and I still have loads of tags left for other projects.

I have used a 5x7 card with some matting and layering.  The die is a spellbinders die and the patterned paper was a freebie from the latest tattered lace magazine. Added a little bit of embossing and hey presto a useful, easy little card.

If you follow the link HERE to our challenge blog you can enter your own project and also see more samples from our design team.

We also have a facbook page for your to join where you can enter another challenge and also showcase your own makes.

Thank you for visiting today and I hope to see you again very soon.

Take care.

Challenge 110 has the usual theme of

The digi stamp I have chosen to use is called 'The Paris Collection'.  Such good value as it also comes with accessories.

I have done some paper piecing with her dress and used a black lace paper from craft artist. I then coloured her hair, skin and bows on the dress using copics.

I have fussy cut her out using my BSC on direct to cut mode.

To make the actual card I have used a set of dies from Tonic Studios  called 'Twisted Veranda'.  My flowers were dies from Tattered Lace and the leaves are from Sue Wilson.

To see more samples using stamps from our sponsor and to enter your own project into our challenge please follow the link HERE to our blog.

We also have a Facebook page to join and share your makes.

Golden Splendour

Good morning folks.  Hope you are all well.

Sunday 1st May - isn't this year speeding by?  Bank holiday Monday tomorrow - looking forward to a crafting day for me, what will you be doing?

We start a new challenge at Creative Ladybirds challenge today.

Our theme is the usual Always Anything Goes.

I have recently bought some new stamps from the very talented Phil Martin - Sentimentally Yours.

What a pleasure they were to use.

The tag across the middle and the topper behind it were from Phil's stamps and have been stamped and embossed using cosmic shimmer gold detail embossing powder.

The background was also made using stamps but those were from Dreamees.

Flowers are a die but I can't remember where that was from I think it was a spellbinders die and the leaves are a sue wilson die.

I finished the flowers with nuvo tonic pearl drops.
