I chose to use the Dancing Squirrel image.  When you purchase this image you actually receive a coloured JPEG and PNG image, a black and white JPEG and PNG image plus a bonus image which is all super value.

I used the coloured PNG image and imported it into Serif CraftArtist and designed my card using items from my digi kits.

As I also made this card for the birthday of a friend of my mom's I have also personalised it with her name using an alphabet from a digi kit.

Golden Anniversary

Good morning folks.  Hope you are all well this morning?

We have a new challenge starting at Crafting from the Heart.

The theme is 'Anything Goes'.

Our Sponsors are: -

and

I have used an SVG file called 'Paper Roses & Leaves Templates/SVG set' from Fred She Said.

I imported the SVG into Canvas programme for my Brother Scan n Cut and converted it into an FCM and then saved it to my USB.

I then cut the shapes out in gold vellum, on my machine I set the pressure at 0 and the blade at 3 and it cut perfectly but you will know your own machine.

I scored down each petal and also cut into them,  Once scored I pinched the end.  I then assembled them together using my glue gun.  All of the flowers, leaves and branches came within the the SVG set so it is really good value.

I did some matting and layering using cream and gold card, I also did some embossing using a couture creations embossing folder called 'sugar puff'.

My sentiment was printed out in serif craftartist and then die cut using a tonic die.

I then finished it off using some gold tonic nuvo gold pearl drops.

To see more samples from our design team and to enter your own creation into the challenge follow the link HERE.

The Original Morning Goddess

Good morning fellow crafters.

We have a new challenge beginning at Crafty Girlz challenge with a theme of

Anything Goes / Bring in the Harvest

Our sponsor for challenge 6 is: -

I have used a fun digi stamp from our sponsor this challenge called

She was such fun to colour in using my copic markers.  I then die cut her out using spellbinders oval shapes and cut an orange mat using a matching spellbinders die.

The backing papers I found in craft artist and the sentiment is all mine.

The flowers are tattered lace dies with matching embossing folders.  The stamens are from marianne dies.  I did brush them with spiced marmalade distress ink.  The corners are also spellbinder dies.

Finished off with faux pearls using nuvo tonic pearl drops.

Anna Mae Boo

Hi folks, how are you all today?

A new challenge begins at Crafty Girls Creations.

Our theme is 'Always Anything Goes'

Our sponsor is: -

Lacy Sunshine Stamps

I have used a digi stamp from our sponsor called 'Anna Mae Boo', a real cutie pie.

I have coloured her in using copic markers.  I then fussy cut her our using my BSC with a 1mm border and then also cut a mat out of black card using a 2mm border.  This was all done on the direct to cut facility.

Still using my BSC I also did two mats in pink and white.  The white mat I ran through an embossilicious embossing folder.

My flowers were made using a stamp from ChloesCreativeCards, some yellow cosmic shimmer embossing folder and parchment.

I then finished my card off using some nuvo tonic pearl drops.

All Around The City

Good morning folks.  We start challenge No 23 at Get Creative Challenges today.

Our challenge theme is 'Must Use a Tag'

Our Sponsor for this challenge is: -

For my sample I chose to use 'All Around The City' digi stamp.

Now if you have visited my blog regularly you will know I love colouring. How good I am at it I will leave you to judge but I do enjoy it and I usually add shading etc when I colour, using three different shades of colour.

Colouring for adults is becoming really popular.  Apparently it is really relaxing, something I would totally agree with but also something us crafters have known for years however, I am pleased adult colouring is becoming so popular.

This got me thinking, not everyone has been or is into colouring and when you are beginning you don't shade etc you just colour so for my design card this challenge that is exactly what I have done.  Coloured, No shading, no using 3 different pens just colouring.

I wanted to show that the only thing that is important is to enjoy your colouring and nothing is wrong and everything is right.  There are some beautifully coloured images out there but we don't all have the same expertise and I do think it is a shame if someone is intimidated or put off because they are just beginning and not into the shading.

So if you are just beginning - ENJOY YOUR COLOURING.

If you are experienced - ENJOY YOUR COLOURING

When you have finished your project don't forget to enter it into our challenge.  To do that and to see more ideas from our design team follow the link HERE to our blog.  Don't forget the theme, just add a tag to your project.  Good Luck and see you soon.

Trio of Snowmen

Good morning fellow crafters.  Well September is here, the fruit for my first  Christmas cake is soaking and my first Christmas card made.

We have a new challenge starting today at Crafting From The Heart.

Our theme is 'Always Anything Goes'

Our sponsor for this challenge is: -

Imagine That

I have used 'Trio of Snowmen' for my dt card this challenge and I must admit it was a beautiful image to work with. The sentiment also came with the digi image.

My BSC fussy cut the image out for me and also cut a black mat too.

I have coloured the image in using a mixture of chameleon pens and sakura pens, well you have to have a bit of sparkle at Christmas.

The backing paper was printed from a digi kit in craftartist.  My BSC also cut out a snowflake background from BirdsCards and the file was free which is very generous.

I finished the card off with snowflake flowers using a stamp from ChloeCreativeCards which has been stamped onto parchment using wow powders and then cut out.

Thanks for checking out my blog.  To see more samples from our design team follow the link HERE to our challenge where you can also enter your own super creation,

We also have a facebook page for you to pop along too.  Lots of like minded crafters to chat too and also some just for fun challenges for your to enter.

Hope to see you soon.  Thank you for any comments you have left they are so welcome.  You take care and see you soon.

Calla Lily

Good morning everyone.  Tuesday 1st September, I can't believe where this year has gone.  Though they do say that is a sign of old age don't they?
September is when I start making my Christmas cards.  I don't do craft fayres etc so I only do cards for myself and my mom.  I do admit because of postage I have started designing my main cards in Craft Artist and the hand delivered ones I make in the 'traditional' way.
I have start my Christmas cake making.  Three cakes to make, possibly four and I start a little earlier because the recipe I use means soaking the fruit in alcohol for 7 days plus I need plenty of time of feed them - that's a must for me,  makes the cake so moist and yummy even if I do say so myself.

Enough of Christmas for now.  Today starts a new challenge at Creative Ladybirds Creations.  We hold a monthly challenge and the theme is 'Anything Goes'.

Our sponsor for this challenge is: -

I have chosen to use a digi image called 'Calla Lily'
If you purchase it you actually receive a digi stamp and a pre-coloured image which is great.

This was a very easy digi to colour in because it was just the leaves so would be fantastic for anyone just starting out colouring.  I did get my BSC to fussy cut it for me.

It is such a versatile image which I think would be suitable for may occasions especially sympathy which is always a difficult subject.

I have done some matting and layering, embossed the white card using a couture creations folder called Intrinsic and then used a die from marianne.

I then finished it off by placing an orange bow and some nuvo tonic pearl drops called 'repened pumpkin' as I intend to use this one as a Get Well card.

Thank you for popping along and checking out my design for this challenge.  If you want to see more samples from our design team do follow the link HERE.  I do hope you will enter your own creations in our challenge as there is a super prize form our sponsor.

See you all soon and take care.
