Simone & Lee's Wedding Day

Good morning folks.
Roll on 4pm when I finish for the weekend, that sounds terrible really as I haven't started  work yet given it is only 7.30am and I have just realised I forgot to schedule my post, but it has been a long week for some reason.  Gosh I am thankful I don't work Fridays.

Today starts a new challenge at Crafty-Girls Creations.

Challenge No 7 is Anything Goes

Our sponsor for today's challenge is

My card today was an order from a mate at my slimming world meeting.

Other than cards for personal use or design team samples I do occasionally take orders, mainly from friends and family as I prefer to specialise in personalised cards so when Marlene wanted a mixed race wedding card I was a little nervous mainly because I had not coloured an ethnic image before.

I knew I had seen a wedding digi stamp at Mo's Digital Pencil and she has a substantial multicultural section.  So I headed on over to her website and checked out the image and was pleased to see that the groom would suit for my purposes as my bride was black and my groom was white.  It is a lovely image and I used my copic markers and my copic instructional colouring book for colours for my bride.

My image is called Wedding Couple B.

Once finished I left it for a while and went back to it I was quite pleased with the results.

My die cut flowers and leaves are from Creative Expressions as is the strip for my names.  My frames were cut using my BSC and my embossing is from an A4 embossing folder.

The names were die cut using a free alphabet die from my tattered lace magazines.

I also made a box to go with the card, the insert was produced in serif and I placed some tissue paper inside too.

Marlene said she was thrilled with it much to my delight.

Bald IS Beautiful

My card today is dedicated to my dear friend Angela who has been fighting and surviving cancer for the last three years. She is a wonderful person and absolutely amazing.  She is on her 3rd bout of chemo and has shown nothing but bravery and optimism throughout.

So, to my dear friend Angela and anyone fighting and surviving cancer I SALUTE YOU.

A new challenge at Crafting from the Heart begins today.

My image today is from Sassy Studio Designs and is called 'Bald is Beautiful'

After printing I coloured her in using copic marker pens.

Some matting and layering, some embossing and all finished off with some flowers die cut from Tattered lace dies.  The leaves were from a die by Marianne Designs.

Autumn Fall Girl Reading

Good morning all.  We have started a new challenge at Crafty Girlz

Challenge No 7 has a theme of
Anything Goes / with a twist of Bewitched

I have used a digi from Star Stampz called 'Autumn Fall Girl Reading'.

After printing coloured her using my copic marker pens.  I die cut the image and mat using some spellbinders dies.

I am loving 7x7 cards at the moment, as you will probably have realised if you visit often.  They just seem to be a really nice size.

I cut a piece of white card slightly smaller than my 7x7 and pricked around the edges in true Sue Wilson style.  I then matted a piece of orange pearlescent card followed by a smaller piece of white card.  The white card I have embossed using an A4 folder called 'falling leaves'.  Both the orange pearlescent and the white embossed card I have distressed slightly around the edges.

For my birthday my darling hubby treated me to a Sapphire.  Now I have to admit when this machine came out I was sceptical and just did not get why I would want a die cut machine that small.   I do get why now, I use lots of flowers and I also personalise cards when I do orders and I found myself using an A4 cutting mat to cut out a centimetre alphabet because I needed two n's.  Then I realised why I needed a Sapphire.

My flowers on this card are from Tattered Lace and were a present from my dear friend Wendy and yes, you guessed it, I used my new Sapphire,  Absolute heaven, it sits on my glass mat, right next to me and is lovely.  'Sapphy' worked really hard this afternoon.

Candy Canes

Good morning folks.  Hope you are all well this morning.

Gosh the weather here in Birmingham is dreadful, raining cats and dogs as I write this post.  Hope it brightens up by the weekend.

We start a new challenge at Crafty-Girls Creations.

Challenge No 6 is sponsored by

Beccy's Place

I have used a lovely digi image called 'Candy Canes' and used my Sakura pens to colour it in.  I do love some sparkle at Christmas.

I have used a poinsettia stamp from ChloesCreativeCrafts which is available in 4 different sizes.  I stamped 3 large and 3 medium using red WoW embossing powder.  The leaves are made using a die from Sue Wilson.

Birthday Girl

Good morning, looks like our dry weather is about to disappear, expecting rain today and tomorrow here is 'not so sunny' Birmingham.

Lets hope our new challenge at Crafting From The Heart enhances your day.

Challenge 80 is themed 'Always Anything Goes'

Our sponsor is

I chose a beautiful and useful digi stamp called 'Birthday Girl'

Once printed, fussy cut with my BSC I coloured her using copic markers.

When I fussy her on the BSC with a 1mm seam I also cut a mat with 2mm seam. I do love my 'Brian' for this kind of thing, it so cuts down on time.

My patterned backing paper was from Craftwork Cards and also a digi kit from Daisytrail called 'Celebrations'  I also used some navy blue card for matting and layering with my patterned paper.

My flower is a stamp from Chloe Creative Cards which you can buy in three sizes.  I stamped 2 of each size using my versamark and then embossed them with Pumpkin embossing powder from Cosmic Shimmer.

The orange flourishes are from Sue Wilson dies and I finished it off with card candy in the middle of the flower and some pearl drops from tonic nuvo.

Liz Witch

Good morning fellow crafters and followers. It is time for our new challenge at Get Creative.

Our sponsor for this challenge is

The digi image I chose for this challenge is 'Liz Witch'.

She was a delightful image to colour in and I used my copic markers.

Once coloured I used my BSC on 'direct to cut' with a 1mm seam to cut her out at the same time I cut a black mat adding a 2mm seam.

The backing paper I have used was from a Halloween digi kit from Daisytrail using craft artist serif.  As was the sentiment and the pussy cat.  Both of which was cut out using my BSC.

I die cut a label in black card and created a smaller mat in orange by drawing around the inner part of the die and cutting that out by hand.  I then embossed that with a freebie embossing folder I had form a magazine.  All finished off with a ribbon.

Sweet Sai The Fairy

Good morning fellow crafters and followers.  Hope your day has started well?

I was on me hols last week at a lovely self catering cottage in Yeomadon just outside Holsworthy in North Devon.  A lovely relaxing week where Rob did some fishing and I did some colouring, knitting and reading, not all at the same time of course - hee hee.

First day of October today and we start a new challenge at Creative Ladybirds Creations.

Challenge No 8 is sponsored by

I chose an image from Oddball Art called Sweet Sai The Fairy.

I coloured her in using my copic markers after cutting her out using Brian and the 'direct to cut' facility.  I placed a 1mm seam allowance and then cut a mat in black adding a 2mm seam allowance.

I have also glittered the wings in yellow glitter.

My patterned backing paper was a freebie from one of my tattered lace magazines which I distressed a little around the edges.  I have matted some cream card which has been embossed using a butterfly A4 embossing folder from embossilicious.

The die cut panel I have used was also a freebie die from a tattered lace magazine.

I finished it off with some tonic nuvo pearl drops in yellow on the two flowers and the large butterflies.
