Bubblegum Sassy

Good morning everyone.  Hope you are all well.  I am really relaxed after spending a lovely weekend with my mom and a friend at a Warner Leisure Hotel - Holme Lacy House.  Beautiful place and gorgeous grounds so I feel relaxed after some treatments and doing nothing and stuffed after eating wonderful food for a weekend.

We did have a bit of a laugh too.  My friend Angela and my mom ordered each a motorised scooter - nicknamed 'buses' by me.  Well Angela hasn't driven much for a couple of years due to having some serious chemo for the last 3 years and it has affected her feet.  She had some problems reversing in and out of the lift with the left hand and right hand bit.  So funny.  We did have a wonderful weekend.

We start a new challenge at Crafting from the Heart.

Challenge 74 is 'Always Anything Goes'

Our sponsors are: -

I have chosen to use a super image called 'Bubblegum Sassy'.

I did some paper piecing with my image using a backing paper from a serif digi kit.  I then coloured the rest of the digi image using my chameleon pens.

I then fussy cut her out using my BSC and also cut a mat for my image.

The rest of the card is simple matting and layering.  I have used the same backing paper for the matting.

Quite a simple layout but one I used from Paper Playful site which is wonderful for inspiration like layouts etc.

Thank you for visiting my blog and checking out my design for this challenge.

If you want to see more designs from our design team follow the link HERE to our challenge page and where you can also enter your own project.

Crafting from the Heart also has a facebook page where you can join to chat to like minded crafters and enter some challenges.

Lifes a Beach

Good morning folks.  Its a good job blogger has a scheduling facility because as this is being posted, hopefully, I shall be relaxing with my Mom and a friend at a Warners Leisure Hotel - Holme Lacy in Hereforshire.  In fact I shall probably be going down to a yummy breakfast at this moment in time and then going for a relaxing pedicure.  Not that I want to make anyone jealous of course!

Hubby has been left to cope on his own and our Briard Enya is looking after him. LOL

Knowing him he will be lapping up the free time although I have left him some jobs to do - hee hee.  Well that is a wife's privilege isn't it.  LOL

Today is the start of a Challenge 5 at Crafty Girlz and our theme for this month is LAZY DAYS.

Our sponsor is: -

prize is $15 voucher to spend in their shop.
I chose an image called 'Lifes a Beach'

What a super kit and so versatile for so many occasions.  For just $2.25 you get coloured images, sentiments and digi images in both Jpeg and PNG.  Brilliant value for money.

Because I also got coloured images I decided to create my design in Serif Craft Artist.

I wanted an 8x8 card so used the custom facility to make my own card template.

I used different digi kits, one of which was a photo project called 'Beach' for the background. The topper is one of the PNG ones and I created the back ground shapes from one within the shapes directory and coloured it using the colour picker and colours from the background and the sand within the digi.  I imported the embellishments from serif too.

The back of the card has been decorated too with the same background as the front plus embellishments.

The inside of the card has another topper from the digi kit.

All the sentiments on the front of my card and the inside are also from the original digi kit from DeeDees Digis.  I told you it was super value.

One thing I really liked is the versatility of the kit.  My card could be for many occasions from birthday,  retirement, get well and even thinking of you.  Because the kit comes with coloured images and digi images for you to colour it is also a good kit for beginners in crafting because you have ready prepared toppers and sentiments but if you want to go on to colouring then you have the digi images and for practice you can use the coloured images to copy.

Well I hope you like my design and to see get more ideas from our design team follow the link HERE to the challenge page.  Do enter your own creation as it is lovely to see your projects and our sponsor has a super prize to be won.

Thank you for stopping by.  Take care and see you soon.

Rose Label

Good morning folks.  Hope you are all well?  Anyone go to the Great British Craft Festival at Stoneleigh?  Wasn't it fandabbydosy?  I had the most fantastic day with my mate Wendy.  Lots of coffee breaks, lovely lunch and major retail therapy with loads of yacking too.  The perfect day.

A new challenge starts today at Get Creative.  Challenge 21 is sponsored by: -

prize will be 3 images of the winners choice and the theme for this challenge is

Monochromatic - Using Colour Pink

I chose to use the Rose Label Digi Stamp for my card today and make it into an anniversary card but I do think this digi stamp could lend itself to loads of themes.

I have coloured my image with the following copic markers
RV000 | RV00 | RV02 | RV04 | RV09

I have also used a tonic die and a tattered lace rose embossing folder, finishing off with nuvo tonic pearl drops in pearl white and a pink ribbon. The little embellishment on the ribbon was made using glue from my glue gun and some white glitter.  I got this tip from Jodie Johnson, thanks Jodie.

Thank you for stopping by.  If you want to see more samples from our design team just follow the link HERE where you can also enter the challenge.  Good Luck.

See you soon and take care.

Faith, Hope, Love

Good morning all.  As this post has been scheduled I am not sure what the weather is doing here in Birmingham but I hope where ever you are you are well.

Monday means work for me and as I don't work Friday's I am always in catch up mode.  This week will be a long weekend for me as I usually work Monday, Wednesday and Thursday but this week I have a conference with work tomorrow so will be having Thursday off.  Can't wait.  I know I shouldn't wish my life away but with nothing planned for Thursday I shall be able to do some crafting as the weekend I shall be away with my Mom and a friend.

A new challenge is due to start at Crafting from the Heart.  The theme is Always Anything Goes.

Our sponsor is: -

The image I have chosen for my design this challenge is called 'Beautiful Blocks-Faith'.

I have coloured my image in using spectrum noir pencils and put a black mat behind.

The background I have used was cut on Brian my BSC and was a freebie from Birds Cards.

The flourishes was also cut from a die which was free on one of the Tattered Lace magazines and I finished off with some pearl drops from cosmic shimmer.

For me design ideas follow the link HERE to our challenge page where you can also enter your own project for a chance to win a super prize from our sponsor.

New Wave Punk Girl

Good morning.  It is the 1st August today, isn't this year going fast.  Soon be Christmas!   This time next Saturday I shall be getting ready to spend a wonderful day, with my best mate Wendy, at the Great British Craft Festival at Stoneleigh.  My list is getting bigger by the minute I will admit but mainly I shall enjoy my day with Wendy and wall to wall craft.  HEAVEN.

First of the month means a new challenge at Creative Ladybirds Creations

Challenge 6 is 'Anything Goes'

Our Sponsors are: -

and

This month I have used an image from Lemon Shortbread called New Wave Punk Girl.

I have coloured my little punk girl using my copic marker pens as follows: -

E000 | E00 | E01 | V04 | V06 | V09 | Y02 | Y04 | Y06 | YR20 | YR23 | YR24 | YR28 | R17 | R27 | R29 | B21

I always struggle with layouts and whenever I draw a blank I find popping into Paper Playful as they usually have a layout in their current list of challenges.  That is where I found, the layout I have used today.

Quite a simple layout consisting of matting and layering, a little embossing and some pearl drops together with a sentiment.

To see more ideas from our design team follow the link HERE to our blog and to enter the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.  Good luck in the challenge and take care.

I have entered this card into the following challenge: -
