Marilynn

Good morning folks.  Monday morning and a new challenge at Get Creative starts today.

Our theme for this challenge is - Use Printed Paper, A Fibre, and a Sticker.

Our sponsor is: -

My Shopping List

Marilynn digi stamp from Limited Runs Stamps
Chameleon Pens
Amy Tan Digi Kit from Serif Craft Artist
Sue Wilson flower and leaf dies
Pink ribbon
Sticker sentiments

I had a lot of trouble picking my digi stamp for this challenge as there are soooooooo many gorgeous ones.
Marilynn was a delight to work with.

The thing I like about digi stamps is they are so flexible.  Because part of our theme was printed papers I took Marilynn into serif craft artist and using the cutout studio I removed the white space in her dress,  I then chose a backing paper from Amy Tan digi kit and placed if over my image, sent it to the back and cropped it down and hey presto I had a patterned dress.

After printing out my image onto copic X-press it smooth card I scanned it into my brother SnC on the direct to cut facility and cut her out.  On this occasion I did not place a seam allowance around the edge. I then coloured the rest of her in using my chameleon pens. I also cut my frame out using the SnC too.

The layout of the card, I need to admit, is not my sole idea.  I was watching one of the demonstrators on create and craft and got the idea from one of the shows.

I am so pleased with how this one came out and I do hope you like it too.

Going Fast

Good evening folks.  Here is the West Midlands I have to admit it has been a lovely day.  A little rain but hasn't hung around and the sun is shining as I type this.  I do hope we will see a super summer this year.

Now, I don't generally like doing male cards, as my followers will know I have a weakness for flowers on cards and they just don't look right on a male card however, this little chap caught my eye but, and here comes a big apology, I can't remember where I bought the digi stamp from.

I coloured him in a while ago and he was one of my first projects using my chameleon pens so the blend isn't brilliant but I thought I would post him because he is such a cute little chap.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out by blog and for any comments you choose to leave.  You take care and see you soon.

I have entered this card into the following challenge: -
