Good morning.  The start of another week and also the start of another challenge at Get Creative.  This will be challenge No 11 and the theme of Must Use a Die Cut.

I matted some white card onto my card blank followed by some white pearlised card which I had die cut using a tonic die.

I fussy cut my digi image out after colouring her in using the above listed copic marker pens.  I used 'Charlie' my BSC on direct cut facility putting a 1mm seam allowance around the image.  I then removed that from 'Charlie' and then placed a piece of green card onto my mat, increased the seam allowance to 3mm and cut again.  This is why I love 'Charlie' but you must do this before cancelling the image from the machine.

I then finished off by placing my flowers and leaves onto my card and some pearl drops.

RSP Shake Your Groove Thing

 

 Good morning folks. How are you all this lovely Monday morning?  Yes I am extremely cheerful but that is because I am off this week from work.  HEAVEN and major crafting today.

 

Today also sees the start of a new challenge over at Crafting from the Heart challenge.

For  my design this challenge I chose digi stamp RSP_Shake your groove thing.  I have coloured her in using chameleon pens of which I am still practicing I have to admit.  She is a lovely digi stamp but I was a little wary of those eyes so I do hope you thing I have done okay with those. 

 I die cut her out using a spellbinders die and made a faux mat too in orange card.  I uses the same card as a matting layer after embossing it using a sue Wilson a4 embossing folder.

 

The corners were die cut using a tonic studio envelope die and some paper that came with one of my tattered lace magazines as the colours matched perfectly with the dress of my image. 

 

I love flowers so they had to be added and I have used a daisy die cut from spellbinders in white and lilac card. I then finished the card off with some pearl drops around the edge and centre of the flowers.  I have used Buttermilk Nuvo Pearl Drops which are fantastic, definitely self levelling and very easy to use.

 Good morning.  Hopefully wherever you are it is a lovely Monday morning.

1. I printed my image out in draft quality onto Copic Xpress It card and then coloured her in using chameleon pens
2. Matted blue card onto my base card followed by white card which I embossed using a brick embossing folder
3. I inked around edges of white card with stormy sky distress ink
4. I then cut 2 circles in blue and embossed those using a football embossing folder
5. My words were created in serif and printed out.
6. I did cut my image out using 'charlie' my BSC in direct cut mode.

 

 I have not long had my chameleon pens and I have to admit I do like them but they are taking some getting used too.  Tracy was a lovely image to colour in.

City Chic Fashion - Creative Ladybirds Challenge One

 Good morning fellow crafters and followers.  1st March today and a new challenge is starting called Creative Ladybirds Creations.  It is a monthly challenge which will start on the 1st of every month.

My first card for our brand new challenge is from Lemon Shortbread and is a gorgeous lady called 80s City Chic Fashion Girl Digital Stamp. 

 

I always print my digi images in draft quality and usually use Copic Xpress it card which I buy from Sir Stampalot. It is lovely quality card and so smooth giving a lovely finish.

 

Usually I use copic marker pens but I treat myself to a setoff Chameleon Pens and this lovely lady is my first attempt at using them.  Not sure about the jacket but the pens are lovely once you get used to them and I will admit they are taking some getting used too.

 

The layout I have chosen was inspired by issue 15 of the Tattered Lace Magazine as some of you may know I do struggle with layouts so those magazines are my 'go too' for inspiration.

 

I have kept it simple using an 8x8 base card, some matting and layering and an embossing folder from Sue Wilson called Basket Weave.

 

I cut my squares using Charlie, my BSC and saved that one for another time.  The letters are also from the alphabet in Charlie. As is the oval shapes.
