Tulip Spray

Good morning all, what a beautiful day so far, sun is shining and it is not too cold - let's hope it lasts all day.

Shopping was completed early as usual, I hate food shopping so always go early, lovely slimming world breakfast, Enya had her second walk of the day and then it was down to some crafting.  Back to work on Monday so I wanted to make the most of my time.

I have had these stamps for a while now and only used one so decided it was time to play.

My Shopping List

Creative expressions singles - tulip spray and scrollwork vase
Distress markers - fired brick and forest moss
WOW embossing powder - sparkling snow
Spellbinders 5x7 matting basics A & B
Signature die - ivy corner
Sue Wilson faux quilled blooms die
5x7 base white card
red card and green card
2 red card candi

The layout is fairly self explanatory but I stamped the image using distress markers straight to the stamp, spraying with plain water and then stamping.   A technique I really like for some stamps especially flowers.

Now onto my next one.  You all have a good day and take care.

Gracie with Teddy - Pink Gem Designs

Good evening all, how are you all this Friday night.  I have been off work this week and it has been lovely, I have done some crafting and played with my goodies which I bought at the NEC last Friday.  Seems like ages ago now but I did have a fantastic time and got to meet the lovely Linda Simpson in person.

My card tonight is a dt sample for the new challenge over at My Craft Creations which is sponsored by Pink Gem Designs

Little Gracie is a precoloured topper but does come with a digi stamp too.  A really simple card to make really, the backing paper was from my crafty stash. The bow was made using Sue Wilsons Lattice 3d Bow die which I really like, in fact I now have all three of Sue's bow dies and have used them lots because I am useless at tying bows.

Hope like this card and don't forget to pop over to My Craft Creations to check out the challenge and enter - it is always an anything goes.

Thanks for stopping by.  You all take care and enjoy your weekend.  Don't forget the clocks alter on Sunday.

Spellbinders Botanical Swirls die
5x7 white base card
pink pearlescent card
white pearlescent card
pink brad

  1. I started with a 5x7 plain white base card
  2. I matted some pink pearlescent card using my spellbinders 5x7 matting basics
  3. I then cut out my spellbinders botanical swirls die using white pearlescent card matting that over my pink card
  4. I coloured my image in using the copics listed above, cut it out, shaped it and placed that onto my card with some pinflair
  5. I finished off making a bow out of green card - some off cuts out of my bit box - using Sue Wilson's new lattice 3d bow which is delightful as I am useless at making bows with proper ribbon.  I secured this together with a pink brad.
This was an easy card to make really but I do hope you like it.

Bling It Up- Stamping With The Dragon Challenge

Good morning everyone.  Hope you are all well and enjoying your day.

I will be enjoying my day as I will be off to the NEC for the Hobbycrafts show with my friend Wendy.  We do have a super day, lots of shopping, lots of coffee, lunch and more shopping plus the gossip ofcourse.  Both of us have a list and as Wendy bought a caliber lat November I am sure she will be buying dies this time.  A visit to the Tattered Lace stand is definitely on the cards.

Well my post today is a DT sample for the brand new challenge over at Stamping with the Dragon. The challenge is 'Bling it Up and starts today.

My Shopping List

Serif Craft Artist Professional
Blazing Summer Mini Kit from Stamping Dragon Designs.
Spring Flowers Digi Stamp

I chose this kit with the sole purpose of using my Serif Craft Artist Professional.  These kits on Stamping Dragon Designs are brilliant if you, like me, enjoy digital crafting with Serif.

I took all the elements of the kit into Serif.  The papers were placed in both the background section and the materials section.  One of the elements I was able to create a frame.  The swirls, green flowers, gems and there were a couple of bows I first took into the cutout studio and removed the white areas, saved as a PDF and then re imported into Serif and placed into the embellishments section.

The daisy flowers are actually a digi stamp which I again took into the cutout studio, removed the white parts and took the image the embellishment section.  I then created the shape and coloured it using the pick up tool so the colours all matched.  I placed my daisy flower onto the shape and whilst highlighed I used the blend mode and the overlay.

The rest was the crafting bit.  However, I will say, creating the digi kit was also fun.

I hope this has given you some ideas on how to use these complete kits, they are so useful and versatile for 'normal crafting', digi crafting and hybrid crafting.
