Blue Tulips

Hi guys, hope you are all okay today?  I have spent a lovely afternoon at a Copics workshop with the very talented Mel Heaton.  Gosh have I learnt loads.  It was only 2 hours but it went sooooooo fast.  I have come home with a sore shoulder, it's not fully healed from the op, from the repetitive colouring but it was a wonderful couple of hours.  THANKS MEL and thanks to The Treasury, Kidderminster the staff there are brill.

My card today was made for the Craftateers challenge and the theme is floral was my choice.

I began with a C5 plain white centura card and matted another piece of the card on but I embossed it using the tumbling leaves A4 embossing folder from crafters companion and using a brush and stormy sky distress ink I distressed the whole embossing.

I then used an edges die on either side of a navy piece of card and put two pieces of white ribbon around that before placing it on my card.

My large flower image is Tulips from Dimension Stamps which has been embossed in cosmic shimmer lapis sapphire lustre and placed onto a spellbinders die.  The large flower at the side is from Chloe's Creative Crafts which has also been embossed using the cosmic shimmer lapis embossing powder cut out and layered.  These flower stamps are in two sizes and are lovely to stamp with.

All finished off with a spellbinders flourish.

Yellow Roses

Hi everyone, what do you think about this weather then, lovely isn't it although I will admit it is a tad hot for me, I just can't take it anymore especially when I am having a 'power surge'! It is quite nice at the moment here in Birmingham with a lovely breeze and it's not raining so I am not complaining too much. 

My post today was made for this months RAK (randon act of kindness) card, I belong to a small little club and we send a card in every month and get a card back just because which is lovely especially if you are having a 'not nice' day and your RAK card arrives on the carpet, always cheers me up.

So I started with a C5 white card, I matter another piece of white card after embossing it with tumbling leaves A4 embossilicious folder and distress ink - antique linen.

I then stamped my background stamp using yellow pearlescent ink and die cut them both out with a spellbinders die.  The backing stamp was from a large set I bought some years ago.

My three yellow roses are a La Grande rose foam stamp and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Tropic Yellow Lustre Embossing Powder.  I cut them out and backed them onto brown pearlescent card and also punched 4 pieces of the same brown card with a circle punch.  All topped off with some little brown pearls.

Hi crafters and followers.  Hope you are all well and enjoying the lovely weather, although I have to admit it is a little warm for me, I just cannot take it anymore but it's not raining so that's good.

Today's card will also be on the craftateers website and was made for that subject.

This card was a very simple card really.  I used the 'Silly Moo' stamp from Sheena Douglas, stamped it using versfine black in and clear embossed it. 

I then cut that into 3, matted it onto some grey pearlescent card.  I then die cut a piece of white card and another piece of grey pearlescent card using

my spellbinders 5x7 matting basics dies.

 

My base card is a C5 centura  pearl followed by another piece of centura pearl which I have embossed using the tumbling leaves A4 embossing folder from

embossilicious.  Distress around the edges using mowed lawn distress inks.

 

I have added a touch of colour on the image by colouring in the crown and the grass.

Pink Poppy

Hi folks, hope you are all enjoying the sun today, hope you all are having lovely sunshine today.

So my post today is floral.  Starting with a C5 centura pearl card followed by another piece of centura pearl card which instead of pricking around the edges I had, yesterday, used cosmic shimmer pearlescent pva in vintage pink and put pearl dots around.  I have only done this once before, I love the effect, but even after practising on my craft mat I still managed to get a few smaller than others.

I then embossed some pink co'ordinations card using an embossalicious 8x8 flower folder, one of my favourites and sanded that down a little.

My image is the Creative Expressions Poppy Stamp which I stamped with perfect medium and embossed using Cosmic Shimmer Burnt Red Lustre Embossing Powder, a truly beautiful embossing powder.  I die cut it out using floral ovals spellie and inked around the edges using Victorian Velvet distress ink.

My flowers are all Marianne dies which I inked the edges once I had put them together with the Victorian velvet distress ink and finished off with a dot of cosmic shimmer pearlescent pva in vintage pink.

Chloe's Daisy

Good evening fellow crafters and followers.  Well, finally the weather seems to be picking up doesn't it.  I have just come back from my hols in dorset and devon.  We were really lucky, only had rain the 1st day and the rest of our hols was dry, sunny albeit a little windy which to be honest at my age is welcome - those power surges are even worse in the hot weather. 

My card today was from a sketch I picked up on the one of the challenges from Paper Playful.

I began with a C5 card, followed by some brown pearlescent card and then backing paper from my crafty stash.  I then used my new toy - cutterbee circle cutter - to cut the perfect circle and I must say it is everything Mel Heaton says it is and more - brilliant piece of equipment.  My flower is stamped using the daisy stamp from Chloes Creative Cards stamped twice and embossed then cut out and layered.  The centre flower is a small die cut from spellbinders.  The other flower is a marianne die.
