Dr Digi Funny Sentiments

Good morning, hope you all had a good weekend?

I spent a lovely afternoon in my craft room working on my next memory book.  Since doing my first book using Tonic Memory Book 2 these books have definitely hit the spot with me and I just love doing them.

Well today we do start a lovely new challenge over at Crafting From The Heart.

As usual our theme is

'Always Anything Goes'

Our sponsor for this challenge is

I have used a digi stamp set from Dr Digi House of Stamps called 'Funny Sentiments 2'.  The sheet of sentiments is substantial and I used two of them.

My card is A5 in size and I have designed it in Serif Craft Artist using a digi kit called 'BTS Pets'.

I also used one of the sentiments on the insert

Shaking for Christmas

Hi there, another week over and I just love Friday's although I have a busy day today so not much crafting done.  Tomorrow will be my crafting day.

A new challenge begins at Simply Create Too.

Our theme for this month is

'Make a Shaker Card'

I have used a background I made sometime ago where I took some heat resistant acetate, covered it with dries clear glue and then sprinkled it with cosmic shimmer pixie powders, then put some tissue paper onto it and leave it to dry.  This technique is one I learnt from John Lockwood and Julia Watts.
I also sprinkled some gold glitter into it before putting the tissue paper on.

The frame was cut from Sue Wilsons Peg Board die and the poinsettia I die cut from Dawn Bibby.

I finished off with a sentiment from Phill Martin's stamps.

Follow the link HERE to our challenge blog to enter your own shaker card and to see what other ideas our design team have been working on.

Thank you for visiting today.

Take care.

Christmas Candles

Good morning all.  Hope you are well? Given it is now October I thought I had better make a start on Christmas.  So this is my first Christmas card and my first Christmas cake has been soaking for 7 days and was made yesterday ready for feeding.  My 2nd cake is soaking.

We start a new challenge at Get Creative Challenge today.

Our sponsors for this challenge are

Our theme for this challenge is

'BINGO'
I chose to use

flowers | use jewels | 2 or more brads.

My image is a digi stamp from our sponsor Ikes Art and is called 'Christmas Candles'.

After printing my image out I coloured it in using my sakura pens.  I do love a bit of sparkle at Christmas.  I matted it onto some green card.

My card base is a white A5 followed by a piece of green card as a mat.  My patterned paper was a freebie from either one of my Christmas magazines.

I then stamped the poinsettias using a stamp from Chloe's Creative Cards and Wow glitter powder called 'Rudolphs Nose' also from Chloe's Creative Cards.  I stamped onto vellum.

A green leaf brad in each corner and jewels in the centre of my poinsettias.

Why not pop over to our challenge blog to enter your own project into the challenge, just remember to follow the theme of 'Bingo', pick any line and good luck.

Thank you for visiting today.

Take care.

40th Birthday

Good morning.  We have a new challenge beginning today at Crafty Girls Creations.

My card today is made around one of my backgrounds.  I have used the tissue paper technique which John Lockwood and Julia Watts have demoed.

I began with a piece of acetate which I covered using dries clear glue.  I then sprayed it with water and then tapped my pixie powders on.  Another reasonable spray with water and it is ready for my scrunched up tissue paper which I tap down with kitchen roll.  Then leave to dry.

The frame is made using Sue Wilsons Noble Double Pierced Rectangle dies and the corner sentiments are from Phill Martin.

I made the flowers using a stamp from Honeydoo Crafts which I have embossed with their white, white embossing powder.  The flourishes are from Sue Wilson and I finished off my flowers with gems in the centre.

Thank you for visiting today and if you want to enter the challenge follow the link HERE to the blog where you can also see what the rest of our design team have posted.

Good luck in the challenge.

Take care.

All It's Worth

Good morning crafters and followers.  How have you all been in this heat?  At least we had some rain, well we did in Birmingham and I had to admit this but it was nice. I normally hate the rain but we did need.

Well we start a new challenge this morning at Get Creative.

Challenge 72 has a theme of 'Make a Tag'.

Our sponsors for this challenge are

For my tag I chose to use a sentiment from QKR Stampede called 'All its Worth' which I took into my Serif Craft Artist and designed my tag and card within that programme using a digi kit.

Flower Elf

Good morning, how are you all?  We start a lovely new challenge over at Crafting From The Heart today.

Challenge 217 is sponsored by

I have used a digi image called 'Flower Elf' which I coloured in using a mixture of graphmaster and copic sketch markers.

I have made a 8x8 white card blank and layered it first with a piece of white card pricked around the edged and then another piece of white card which I have embossed using a leaf A4 embossing folder from Sheena.  I also inked around the edges with distress ink - cracked pistachio.

The frame I die cut using Sue Wilson's double pierced round noble dies.  My flowers are stamped with cracked pistachio distress ink and the stamp I have used is a set of peony stamps from Creative Expressions.  The die cut leaves also Sue Wilson's of which I cut four, left two white and inked through the other two.  I then finished it and the flowers off with Tonic Nuvo pearl drops - Caribbean Ocean.

Along with the digi stamp I also received a coloured in version which I have taken into my Serif Craft Artist programme and designed the below with one of my digi kits.

Our design team have used more images from our sponsor and to see what they have designed why not follow the link HERE to the blog where you can also enter your own project.  Our theme is Always Anything Goes.

Thank you for visiting today and I do hope to see you again soon.

Take care.
